Big Brother Uchea sues Daily Star

Big Brother contestant Charley Uchea is sueing Express Newspapers over a story in the Daily Star.


Uchea claims that a story headed: “Big Bruv Charley’s Vice Secret” was defamatory, and is demanding damages, and aggravated damages, of £50,000 from the publishers.

The story at the centre of her legal claim appeared on the front and two inside pages of the Daily Star on June 19 last year, as well as on the paper’s website, according to a High Court writ. Uchea is also seeking an injunction banning repetition of the allegations in the story.

YAY! At least someone has found sense and sued The Daily Star. I'm suprised Endemol haven't sued them yet for making up all of those fake Big Brother stories. Hopefully they'll get reported to the Independent Press Complains Commision as well.
