The English have given us Morrissey , the Scottish have given us Teachers Whiskey , the Irish have given us Shane McGowans teeth , and the Welsh have given us , err , Tom Jones.

Its all fair game as far as im concerned.

That said , U.S.S.R > All.

I thought The Smiths were Irish . . . oh well. But I think you should probably credit England with The Beatles - lets face it, best and most successful musicians EVER.

Having said that, Scotland is producing some of the best music around today.

Some scots seem to have an inferiority complex- some welsh also. They seem desperate to prove they are better at something and are often very aggressive and rude to English people, where as this doesn’t seem to be so much the case for scots living in England.

Also, I think England has contributed a lot more in terms of comedy, music, even film than Scotland has and music that has been a lot more influential than Scottish music. Of course there have been some big Scottish bands too but not nearly as many so if were as simplifying to this extent, I say England!

Well I voted England as that is where I live and I am from. But if I was from Scotland, then I would have voted for Scotland. Its a predictible debate really, everyone will vote for their own country

Oh yea, becasue the influence on economics and creating some of the biggest inventions of all time is **** compared to having good music and films - bravo indeed!

Also, for the record, the English just pretend not to hate the Scottish so that they can be all like "We just rise above this nonsense".

Also Scottish shows some power there.

John Lennon is only THE best musician in the world, with McCartney second. Or atleast they were the best Beatles.

And the Beatles are the most popular, successful and critically acclaimed band in the world. Hmmm . . .

And what country did the least talented/popular Beatle come from.

I don't like football much (Rugby is my thing) but I agree, all their stories are interesting. Well you can't escape them lol
