This is the discussion for the most anticapated Wii game of the year - Super Smash Bros. Brawl, which is realsed on 01/05/08.

If you're unfamiliar with the series then you must never have played an N64 or Gamecube because the two previous titles were one of the best games for their systems. It's basically a frantic fighting gaming featuring Nintendo characters from loads of different games (including Mario, Donkey Kong, Link, Samus Aran, Pikachu and many more).

Brawl features more playable fighters than ever and there are loads of newcomers to enter the fray. Including Snake (from the Metal Gear Solid series - and whilst he's not an official Nintendo character he's not a Sony character, the first Metal Gear game was on the NES), Sonic, Wario, Diddy Kong and Captain OLimar (from Pikmin) to name but a few.

This game comes out 2 days after GTA:IV so I don't think I'll sleep for at least a week :tongue:

Also this will be online so will have to get some of you guys' Wii Friend Codes so I can kick your arses! :laugh:

It was on the Game website (they always get release dates wrong though). It's definately out in May though.

Yeah it was great. The new one's going to be awesome though. Anyone who has a Wii has to buy this game.

I used to play it all the time on gamecube, i loved this game.

:laugh: God it was agesss ago. :shocked: I played it all the time with Luigi's Mansion.

The only thing I remember from the Melee game was when I fought something in space...(please say if i'm talking crap lmao)

No you're not talking c**p! :laugh:

My favourite character was Donkey Kong. Although I prefer Diddy Kong. I'm say glad they've put him in this game - hopefully he'll be just as good - with his peanut pistols haha.

Argh I can't stand Pikachu. I always used to beat it up for the fun of it. It wasn't the worst character though - that goes to Pichu. It had exactly the same moveset as Pikachu but damages other opponents less and damages itself when it does that thunder attack thingy. It was useless.

Yeah they're two of my favourite characters. Sheik looks awesome in Brawl (Her "Final Smash" is the light arrow). Will you be getting the game?

Japanese gaming magazine, Famitsu has given this game a perfect score (40/40). The magazine has only given this score to 7 other games since it began in 1986. That's quite impressive. It's the only proper review for the game so far.

I loved playing the gamecube game, unfortunately I don't have a Wii yet so i'll have to wait a while to play it. My favourite characters are Zelda/Sheik, Link, Ness and Kirby.

I really can't wait for this game to come out. Why does Europe always have to wait? IGN have said this game is "Nintendo-branded heroin". :laugh:

I finally got this yesterday and im loving it
Its brilliant and what I like most about it is that I can tell it will be playable for years to come. One of the best Wii games out
