Dont get me wrong I think Corrie is fab, but I think a few changes need to be made this year to keep it from getting stale.

So what could be improved?

axe the mortons except mel

Scarlett.
02-02-2008, 03:38 PM
Aye Mel and maybe Darryl, the rest are just plain deadwood, lets hope Kim Crowther see's that

BigSister

i think mel and darryl have potential but axe the other 3
Have a lomg running storyline like a year long something like richard hillman or the tracy/charlie storyline

Scarlett.
02-02-2008, 03:56 PM
Yeah, and the storyline should feature some neglected characters (Dev, Amber, Ken, Deirdre, Leanne and The Morton brother and sister)

Darryl & Mel Morton are leaving the soap in May, no reports of the others leaving

The irony.

Scarlett.
02-02-2008, 07:22 PM
lol, thats a mistake, they are the only good Mortons, where did you get the spoiler from?

Wikipedia.

Granted it's not the most reliable but it's not been wrong with who is leaving so far.

Scarlett.
02-02-2008, 07:24 PM
True, someone could have just edited it though

Actually, I've just checked it and they aren't on the list of characters leaving now so maybe they aren't ...

They were a couple of weeks back though.

Why isn't leanne in it anymore?
Shes fab.

Scarlett.
02-02-2008, 07:27 PM
lol, good cause Darryl and Mel are the only Mortons that fit into the street

Tom

The whole of the new side of the street needs blowing up, preferably with the residents inside except for Rita. The old ones have to stay to give it a sense of realism. Dev also needs to go and Fiz, Chesney and Kirk could all do with the chop as well.

Scarlett.

Aye it definatley time for a disaster and a cast cull

Nicky.
02-02-2008, 08:35 PM
They need more basic story lines (ie more realistic)

also (i dno if its just me) but theyve had 2 story lines very close to the ones in Neighbours!

The drugs : Neighbours baby found them in bin - about 1 month later Bethany nearly died from finding drugs

Baby Mix-Up - Happend in Neighbours about 4 months ago - now same story line in Corrie!

Scarlett.
02-02-2008, 08:37 PM
Aye we need some down to Earth storylines now

They need more storylines, the main problem i find is that after a big storyline there is always a gap of a few months where it's really dull, That's my only problem with it really. Oh, get rid of the Mortons apart from Mel and Darryl.

Scarlett.

The Corrie Hitlist
Jerry Morton
Finlay whatever
Kayleigh Morton
Chesney Battersby-Brown

Who else needs adding?

If you are going off UK times you need to remember we are 9 months behind Australia, but still the same applies. But the baby swap storyline is going to pop up in Emmerdale soon as well.

Scarlett.

Emmerdale one isnt, it was a red herring to cover up baby Daniels death

Scarlett.

Corrie needs to pull out the big guns again (like with Mad Maya and Killman) and have a massive street changing storyline

Don't get rid of Fiz! She's potential, she proved that over the Xmas period in her John/Rosie storyline.

Scarlett.

Ok keep Fiz, but axe the others

Fiz is great, I hate losing established characters though. Axe recent additions that bore us to tears. Id like to see Liam & Carla go :bored:

Carla is getting boring now, she was great at first but she faded when Paul died. Blanche needs better storylines, as do Ken and Diedre too.

Scarlett.

The Connors are ok, but they have been overused

they need an explosion or something.

Scarlett.

Aye at the Garage (so that the factory and the Post office could be involved), it'd get Corrie back on the road

Scarlett.

I never really warmed up to Carla its the same for me with quite a few new characters who arrive when great established characters leave. Danny Baldwin was ace and so was Mike Baldwin but sadly they went

exactly my thoughts. i used to watch corrie religiously but over the last year it has become really dull with no proper big storylines for me apart from the david one. i'd really like to see alot of the older members of the cast back on the screen as we hardly ever see them. the connors are really boring me to tears. the scenes that i enjoy the most are with people like riat, norris, blanche, emily in the pub.... why don't we give the older people a big storyline!

yeah that would be the best thing because atm they just seem like they have no purpose, its like there all waiting for there big break-to get a decent, meaningful storyline!Corrie might as well get rid of them or do something big with them.

A major murder that takes a while for the culprit to be found out, those sorts of things are always great.

Scarlett.

Aye we need a killer Katy style storyline, that one was amazing with the Police caravan on the street, Angela and Katy covering up, Katy killing herself.

The adverts for it where amazing, especially the news story one
