How do you work Cutenews?

Have you uploaded all your files to your host?
Where are you planning to install it?

No i havent uploaded all the files to my host. do you need to?

But there are loads

my host is awardspace

this is what the inside of my cutenews folder looks like

do i upload the stuff which is also in the folders ot my host?

You upload the folder called cutenews to your server, with everything in it, then you have to CHMOD the whole folder to 777, so you will need to be hosted to do this i presume, and use FTP.

Then when you have done this, go to yoursite.com/cutenews/index.php and follow the onscreen installation.

Then when you've installed it go to Options > Integration Wizard and then enter the details it asks you to, then it will provide you with a code, place this in the .php file you want the updates to appear.

You use FTP right?
Well once you have all the folders uploaded, right click on the Cutenews folder, and it will probably say 'File Attributes', there is a box which allows you to type a 3 digit number, so change that to 777.

i dont really understand FTP - is that the directory?

FTP is to upload your files/folders. So connect to your site, and all your files should appear, then find the cutenews directory, upload it, which take a couple minutes, then when it's uploaded, CHMOD the directory.

Oh Sarah. i think i know why its not letting you connect - i also gave matt the information (he must have signed on, but didnt do anything) and now as it only lets 2 IPs to an account it wont let you on :(

i downloaded a FTP Client but its still not working it come up with this message

[19:36:54] 550 /cutenews/index.php: No such file or directory

please help
