Hi, i think the reason they have brough the whole season of bbusa over here is becuse bb9 want to do the game play theme

Another meber on here called remond was talking to the REAL BIG BROTHERon the fourms and he hinted that this was going to be the foramt gameplay, mabey the reason they have brough it oer here if for the bosses ob bbuk to get ideas

To be completly honest, the further away the US format stays from the UK format the better.

I think we can safely assume the format is going to be reinvented this year (in a similar way to BB5). And with the gameplay idea being hinted at by "The Real Big Brother" and BBUSA being shown on E4 I am very hopeful that BB9 will borrow ideas from it. I hope so anyway. I think a mix between BBUK and BBUSA will be perfect.

It would be great, I wouldn't want the show to change completely to be like the US version, but I'd like gameplaying to be encouraged.

And OT, but yay for the BB US forum!

I don't want it to lost its creativity which made it so famous. But I agree: gameplaying should be encouraged.

Yeah they don't have to copy every idea exactly but take the game play theme and then expand on that and add our very own UK twist to it. Would be very good.

I think their testing to see if it actually works with viewers in the UK as a good theme. Do you know what I mean?

I don't think BBUK will ever slant towards game play because the public traditionally don't like gameplayers. I think the real BB would have meant that there will be more gameplay than before but not on the scale of BBUSA. IMO, their reason for showing BB9USA is to try and get history to repeat itself.

BB4/BB8- Both big flops, not making much impact
TBB/BBCH- Both experimental series
BBUSA was then broadcast inbetween the experiments and inbetween the summer series
BB5/BB9- Massive success?

Yeah but the thing is if they market the show as a Game Play orientated series then people will be more willing to accept game players. I mean the show will have a new look, new presenters and hopefully a new format. So if they make the aim of the game to strategise and play the game the best, then I think the audience will be more accepting of the different type of game players, if you get me.

I completely agree. It is essential that individual nominations and public voting exist in order for Big Brother to be true to the format.

Yes BBUK doesn't need to change the whole idea. It makes BBUK.

BBUK should stay away from BBUS it can take some ideas and adapt them but dont take these stupid ideas of HOH and that rubbish
BBUK has a good format and should stay they way it is!

I think it would give the freshness to the show that it's been crying out for for the past couple of series.

We would still keep the nomination process the same and we would still keep the public vote the same. And I think some people don't get that, when people say "they should take ideas from BBUSA", people immediately think that means getting rid of nominations and public voting but it doesn't.

Read my ideas on that C4 Forum suggestions thread. The main things were allowing nomination discussion and having a HOH where the winner after nominations are announced has the power to change one of the nominees is he/she chooses to. Whoever is left up for eviction will face the public vote on Friday.

This way it encourages people to play more, makes people fight to stay in the house and not just sit on their arse for three months waiting for Mag deals.

After watching a few episodes of BB USA, which I am thoroughly enjoying - the format of Big Brother UK is what makes it great. BB UK format with nominations and then the public deciding who is evicted is a much more entertaining format than the USA show, and means the people we like and who are the most entertaining are much likely to stay longer.

I'd much prefer the format of the UK show where it focuses on developing relationships between people in the house [as in friendships] rather than mainly focusing on game-play. I much prefer genuine house mates to the game playing, two faced house mates of BB USA.

Let's keep Big Brother UK how it is and then enjoy the Big Brother USA format for what it is when that's shown. It's good to have a bit of variety.
