They started before us. There first season launched on July 4th 2000. Our first series didn't launch until 10 days later.

Big Brother US premiered on 5 July 2000 and ended on 29 September 2000.
Big Brother UK premiered on 14 July 2000 and ended on 15 September 2000.

Yeah that advert lies, I think that the actual producers of BBUK think that we started before the US version!! :D But the truth is BBUSA started just over a week before ours.
