I've been struggling reading very small print for about two years now. Last Wednesday I finally took the eye test everyone has been telling me to take for over a year. The results were quite predictable and I now have to wear prescription glasses for reading and driving.

Who else is a four eyes like me?

Nah I don't but sometimes I wear my sunglasses at home, like earlier today.

I think I need glasses. When i'm in class the writing on the board is blurry sometimes.

They have those awards for Celebrity glasses wearers. We should have a similar award for TiBB forum members.

I'm supposed to but I don't. But I'm always dying my hair black or brown, and I'm naturally blond with blue eyes so I opt for coloured contacts instead

I wear glasses for reading etc and I have just had my eye's tested again but by a different optician. He says the ones I have been wearing for the last 3 years are too strong for me. I have perfect vision in my left eye so he weakened my right lense but he didnt replace it with reactor lenses so one eye goes dark in the sunshine. I really must get it corrected but havent got round to it

I have progressivly worse short sightedness and thus need glasses for more visually demanding tasks as watching porn and playing video games.

I dread the day I will need them outside. No matter what any silly advertisement says to the contray , their is not a pair of glasses on this planet that will suit me or make me feel better.

Contacts or blindness.

I have a fairly hindering medical anxiety with everything though. First time she went to put a test pair into my eyes , I got cold sweat and called the deal off.

Most people have a fear of needles. I have a fear of the word 'syringe' , the smell of latex , waiting rooms , and anything astethically associated with healthcare.

Its horrible!

The only glasses I wear are sun-glasses. I always wear them even if there is a bit of sunshine. I think a lot of people underestimate what the sun can do to your eyes. You dont even need to look at the sun for the damage to occur. My gran told me that :spin:

I've been wearing glasses for two years now.

It might sound silly but I hope I have to wear them for the rest of my life as I kind of look different without them now everyone is used to them.

My last eye test said one of my eyes has improved though

They certainly are

but they're really hard to choose as you have to wear them everyday so you have to get it right.

I do, sometimes. They're a pretty cool pair! I normally wear contact lenses though: and within the next ten years I want to have laser eye surgery.

I wore them from around 5 till 13 without complaining and pi$$ing about like most people so I've had perfect eyesight for the last 4 years.

I like you have to Girth wear glasses for reading and driving. I got me some very cool ones that I dont feel bothered about wearing at all. I would go the contact lens route if I needed to wear glasses all the time though.

I wear glasses have been wearing glasses for 6 years now, i have to say my eyes are just getting worse! They become way to dependant on them, i think.

A lot of it is to do with simple psychology. My eye sight is rubbish , but I dont wear my glasses much , so I barely noticed the change.

Had I worn my glasses every hour of every day for the last 6 months , I would notice the difference a GREAT deal now but as it happens - im not dependant on them.

Yet.

I wear glasses - I'm as blind as a bat without them!!

Wore contacts for quite a few years but found the cleaning fiddly and time consuming so prefer to wear glasses.

Mine are by Gucci (got little 'G's on the side!)

Im ok if im near something but far away like the tv i need glasses to see
I dunno about contact lenses as my aunty wears them until she nearly went blind in one eye due to a bug so im abit wary about them better to wear glasses and know you are ok

I left the house without mine today and I feel a bit funny with out them. Any one who needs them should wear them, your eyesight will deteriorate without them.

I actually like mine now. They make me focus better. I used to use my peripheral vision all the time.

I've had to wear glasses since i was really young, people tell me to get contacts but i don't think i could stand having something touching my eye it makes me giddy thinking about it! My glasses aren't nothing special, just a pair of lbue ones that i've had for about 3 years?

Yeah I tried contacts too but I have really sensitive eyes and I didn't like them at all,so I've stuck with glasses.

I wish I did.
I've always wanted a pair of those emo style glasses with the thick black lens.

In fact.
I was tempted to buy a pair and poke out the glass x]

I occasionally wear glasses, most of the time I wear contacts cos I've been very short-sighted since I was about 5 and also developed an astigmatism as I've got older so my sight's worse in my left eye. I prefer contacts cos I look better in them although I've got some good pics on Myspace where I'm wearing glasses (anyone who's friends with me will have seen them!)

You do right to get used to them first, I spent ages trying to decide on nice frames and have very lovely square framed ones which cost me a small fortune (Jai Kudo) but are well worth every penny.

You'll regret it in a couple of years when you need them all the time. You'll soon wish you'd worn them as a kid.
