I have been working on a masterplan of a new house lately, and I've decided rather than being a selfish miser I'll post it on Wedensday (Which unless I slept through the last day would be correct) So here it is, Conors New BB house!! Yeah... oh!
(PS, I would be grateful if someone did inform me if it is now Thursday and have slept through Wedensday lol :P)

What the heck is that indented bit with the lights? on the walkway..
Conor
13-02-2008, 04:40 PM
Thats a new feature. You walk over the glass panel and there are lots of multi coloured lights underneath. I honesty only put it in to make the stage look a bit more lively lol
I really don't like the eye but the outside is probably the best outside of a house you've done so far.
Conor
13-02-2008, 04:43 PM
Thanks Jack :spin2: I don't really like the eye myself. I was going to use the 'demented' eye instead, hence the stage colours lol but at the last minute I decided I'd work on a custom house to fit with the theme. I might actually re-do that 'eye'

I like it. I always think the outside is the weakest part of your houses but I like this one. Great work
Conor

Glad its likable enough Spike ;)
Thanky you for all the comments ppl! :thumbs2:

The stairs:

Thanks for all the poss comments everyone!
I'll post the dining area next :)
Looks good Conor, but I think the door into the house is slightly reminiscent of the BB7 staircase?

You can do that with LEDs embedded on the runway but it's a good idea. The colours seem a little too basic, nothing stands out.

i really like it and it has been designed so well
i have been trying to use sketch up for the past month on a house and have got nowhere if i ever get to do as well as you have i will be shocked at myself!

Matt - Your right lol
Geoking66 - Thanks again for more great lighting advice :) I guess the colours are a bit bland looking back lol
Barbie-Big-Bro - Thanks for commenting and practice makes perfect!
OK, here's the dining room!! :D

Points:
- Pespex heaven!
- The table is located in the 'Heart of the house.'
- As being made of perspex this room is very uncomfortable.
- Credit to Matt for coming up with the 'Swirl' idea on one of the walls ;)

OK, heres the Kitchen :)

http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/bbfan3/Kitchen1-2.jpg
http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/bbfan3/Kitchen7.jpg
Points:
- Its not got any catches. For the first time in years, this si just a normal, straight farward kitchen :)
- The store is right beside the kitchen.
- The kitchen is sunk slightly to reach ground level. This is so the garden is accessable without having to have a big step or something like that.
- There is a small breakfast bar/island.
- And again, credi to Matt for that pink swirl ;)

- Has a very smooth and relaxing athmoshpere.
- No shower, just a bath :)

Your best garden yet

20-02-2008, 05:14 PM
The shape of the garden is really BB7-ish and the bathroom is the same as the BB6 one. I think you should have improved a little bit more and I saw that the kichen is quite similar to the BB7 one too.
Nice garden! I love the outside showers.

Thanks DT! I've been working on a CBB version of the house, and I can say it has made a MAJORLY better and more origional looking house. As the Exterior/ Stage and Stairs are virtually unchanged (excluding the random star here and there) I've decided to start with the new look BATHROOM!!
Before

After:

http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/bbfan3/Bathroom4-3.jpg
Changes:
- Toilet and Shower now behind closed doors.
- No wall to seperate sinks from bedroom.
- Designed to be small and chaotic.
- There are no longer any showers in the garden.

http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/bbfan3/Kitchen3-3.jpg
http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/bbfan3/Kitchen4-2.jpg
Changes:
- The store door has been re-located.
- The colour has changed from baby blue to bright yellow, giving the kitchen a much sharper, crisp look.
- An extention has been added to the side of the kitchen, this continues half way along the living room (This will become clearer in a later set of pics)
- The over head unit has been replaced as the old one looked a bit out of place.

Well, I think it looks great, but I would lay of the same theme over and over and try to give each area a fresh colourful look, rather than it all being the same chequered theme. Its really good for a first house though :)

Ok, i suppose that is good advise. I think maybe I should change the corridor that HM's walk along, or just ged rid of it completly. Their is one more checkered area, and that is like all checkered! :S
Thanks for the tips!

Changes:
- 2 extentions have been added onto the garden. A room for the new pool during the winter months and 1 extending out from the main house.
- The colour has been changed and the graden now looks much less mix-matchy.
- The showers have been removed.
Anyway, I've just began work on a BB9 project which will include
- An eye
- A house
- Studios
- New rules/format/theme ect
- And graphics
Finally, thanks for all the usual amazing possitive comments guys! I really do appreciate it :)
If, as usual, you could rate the house (out of 5) I'd appreciate it, and also if you want, could you add your fav areas?
So, once again. thanks and goodnight! :spin2:

Thanks for the comments guy! Any ratings :(
Spike, I guess my BB9 project in more March, April time will be my last house for a long time. Possibly the last. It's already been finished and all I can promise is that as soon as you enter, things have changed... for the better

Brillant work! I really love this house, its so realistic. Like someone else said, you've taken past designs from the houses but really twisted them and made it look new, but its still got that spark that looks like a true BB house. Can't wait to see the BB9 project later in the year, sounds great.

5/5. 10/10. Either one its still perfect. I think the main reason alot of people's work is like the BB6 house is because its the best one the UK has used...
