Ive only had this laptop about 2 months, so its under guarentee, and i'm gona take it back on Tuesday if it still don't work

Ok I was gonna type something and I realised I know nothing!
I'd say take it back and ask because they'll probably be able to fix it quite easily. I left my laptop too long recently when it really needed to get fixed and it ended up costing over a grand to fix. So don't leave it!

when i put mine in its fine but if you say its been working before then it prob needs fixing. I sent mine off and it took about a week to get fixed it gets annoying but at least it will be sorted

Word on my laptop now seems to stop running periodically when I open a file in windows explorer. I got my copy from an Office 2003 installation disc I was given, similar to one used to restore my system back in 2005.
It had been fine for several months, and now this fault seems to have started in the last two months. I have even had it cause a powerpoint presentation to fal over.
One person said it was because it was not a copy I had paid Microsoft money directly for and they were destabilising on purpose. My sister says I just need to try and reinstall office 2003 from the disc I have and a co-worker says that Office 2003 is incompatible with Vista.
I have now also seen problems with FireFox and the Sun website, where the application suddenly stops working, and I have had problems with Adobe on a particular adobe file on the net, reading it in FireFox.
So is this a wider problem and not a case of re-installing Office 2003?
Incidentally I have tried an Install and fix problems and that has not fixed the problem. What is left to do is a total re-install of office 2003
