;; I've been working on a BB9 project for quite a while, with a house a work in progress . Very soon there'll be some teasers, and then afterwards, an in depth look at my latest house.

;; First off, here is my eye. The eye is called 'Wrath' as it uses a spikey, twisted template and uses colours that connotate to fire.

Conor // It's likely - I made an eye in which the pattern inside was the same, but it did not use the template a while ago. I found the pattern on my computer and imrpoved the eye to create 'Wrath'.

Matt ;; I'm actually pretty sure I made the original eye before that one, I remember commenting on the colour scheme. I suppose they're kind of similar.

I like it but the concentric circles look a bit messy, if you know what I mean. Like they aren't uniform. I love the template.

Conor // No, the BB6 eye was not used in any way to make the eye. It was created by dividing the regular eye template into strips, and alternately moving the strips up and down.

The Entrance

The front door is much lower down than usual, and the walkway begins nearly straight after the housemate has gotten out of their car and poses for the press.

Davina will present the live shows from a variety of places on the walkway in order to interact with different areas of the audience.

The Hallway

The hallway is a narrow hall that the housemates walk through between entering the front doors and entering the house (or vice versa in the case of evictions).

The hallway does not have a staircase this year, and has three steps leading down so the ground is level with the rest of the house. Cubes in the colour of the eye poke out of the walls.

Once you walk down the three steps, the cubes disperse away and the hallway becomes much lighter.

Much like in Big Brother 5, the walls are angled and uneven in order to unsettle housemates instantly.

The Living Area

The living area is the section of the house that housemates first enter - it is a space with little furniture for social gatherings and also where tasks can be set up inside.

Between the hallway and the living area is a short glass hallway - this is used to stop housemate getting into or seeing the hallway from the house, and it is also a place where housemates who break the rules can be kept, as a sort of 'cell'.

The living area is very blue, with white swirls on the floor and walls. The living room is where one of the entrances to the diary room is.

The living area has three bean bags for housemates to sit on, and there is a traditional Big Brother glass wall which looks into the bedroom.

The Kitchen

The kitchen is in the centre of the house, and is very purple. The wall is set up like a jigsaw, with pieces sticking out in different sizes and shades of purple. There is a small island with a sink, a hob, and a chopping board, and there are many random cupboards around the kitchen.

There is a glass wall that makes the kitchen slightly private from the lounge - however, the kitchen overlaps onto the otherside of the wall, and that is where the fridge is kept, as a slightly irritating feature. There is also an oven. There is a store room for the food, but it is not located in the kitchen.

They don't compliment eachother. They aren't just "purple" they are completely different tones, some a pinkish, bluish etc... Maybe the same purple in one or two different shades would work well.

The Lounge

The lounge is located behind the kitchen, and consists of a main seating area, a toilet, the storeroom and a dining bar.

There are a couple of unusual things in the lounge - like the mysterious black star on the ground and a a hatch-like section of the wall with a 'mantlepiece' border, and an empty frame on it - I wonder what will fill the frame?

There is a glass circle beneath the sofas with lights that change colours - it is usually yellow, but turns green for nominations, red for evictions, and blue for failiure of tasks or announcement of punishments.

What i dont like is that sice bb8, every fan made house has diffrent coulars, before bb it was one. now one rooms blue and red with pink and balck.

Andi always the feeling people are copying bb nd just making there own look, make youe house diffren like have the seat ona kind of bend so the housmeates cant really sit on them and thta

I don't think thats really fair. The BB4 and BB5 houses were colourful, and the BB6 house was extremly colourful. Anyway, the each series the house designer copies another house in the past eg:

BB6 - BB8 was the glass window.
BB5 - BB6, major rooms usually found in the main area re-located to the garden.
BB5 - BB8 there was a place to hang out, like a den.

The Bedroom

The bedroom has the theme of a city, with one wall bearing a city view, the floor showing a road and some of the shelving in the shape of traffic lights. The bedroom is very green and sleeps 15, despite there being 16 housemates...where will the other one sleep, I wonder? There are 3 double beds and 9 singles this year.
