The karma system is a way for members to "rate" other members.

They can add karma if they like you/your posts, or subtract karma if they dislike you/your posts.

If you don't like it, you can disable karma in your User Control Panel. Look for the option which says "Turn on Karma system to rate members?"

Anyone with over 100 posts can use karma. You can add/subtract karma from anyone that has it turned on - look for the +/- buttons on a user's profile or next to their posts.

You can add/subtract karma once every three hours.
