Here is some certain info on Big Brother 9.
* Virgin Media will be the sponsor
* It will be held at Elstree Studios
* Davina will host
* Marcus will narrate
* Mat and James will not host BBBM
* Dermot will not return
More up soon.
Yes, we all know everything you've posted.
Although, the Virgin Media will be sponsor thing is up for debate - if I remember rightly their contract was only for BB8, and the following celebrity series (Hijack).

Matt, Virgin Media did not Sponsor Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack. It Was Virgin Mobile that did :thumbs:

Virgin media signed a 1 year contract I believe, I hope we have a new sponsor, I hated those bloody sponsor ads last year. The carphone wearhouse ones and even the O2 ones were better.

Not really - Virgin Media is Virgin Mobile's parent company. Virgin Media obviously wanted to focus on one single area of their business for Hijack, and hence lent the Virgin Mobile name to Hijack as its sponsor.

Take this with a pinch of salt guys, I am. However, someone on another forum has posted some "News on Big Brother 9"
Big Brother 9 has an offical transmission launch date of Sunday 1st June.
And will last just 12 weeks this year.
Finishing Sunday 24th August.
For the first time ever the weekly Evictions will take place on a Sunday and NOT a Friday.
The Highlight shows will also air at 10pm every night until 10:40
On Sundays the timings will remain the same. With just 10 minutes of highlights, Davina talking in studio to friends and family the announcement and eviction. A break. Then followed by slightly Longer Eviction Interview
1 New Spin off show will also accompany series 9 on e4 in the old 'Big Mouth Slot,' which is rumoured to be very much like 'Big Mouth' but with some new features, and a new regular host.
Little Brother however has been axed and will not be returning.
------------------------------------------
Very Big Brother Australia, if true. Sunday's for evictions and the launch. I can't really see that happening. I highly doubt BBLB will be axed. It's been with Big Brother for so long and everybody knows it. It's stupid if they do axe it, they can easily find a host just as good or even better than Dermot.
So, Sunday 1st June anyone? - I think, until any official announcement otherwise, NO!

Oh god i hope not.
Only 40 minutes highlights a night? and at 10? thats awful!
and evictions on a sunday sounds really bad.
I hope its not like that at all.

Thats all lies and made up, completely based on the fact that their lease permission allows them to have so many events per year, but only a small number of them (like 2 or 3) of them not on a Friday. Its like that until 2010.

It was only not on at 10pm during BB8, and BB8 was the first series to adopt the format of having full hour lives shows. Previous series only had 30 minutes, and until BB6 50 minutes. But IIRC, CBB went out at 9pm every night for a full hour, and always has done.

Launch- The only thing I'd be almost certain about is the late launch. It seems to be moved further back each year. I don't think it'll get any earlier. A sunday laaunch though? They usually seem to pick a Wedensday or a Thursday. Dont think Sunday launches and Evictions would work. They're trying to boost ratings, not drag them down even further. I'd say expect a 28th/29th May launch date
Spin offs- Not much point axing a show just to bring it back with a new name and some slight changes. Why spend money on a whole new show? If any spin-off is to get the axe, it certainly wouldn't be BBLB.
Highlights- 10 mins of highlights that will usually fill an hours space? How are they going to fill that in. They usually show 10 mins on an eviction just covering the live news from the house! I don't see the point in wasting time interveiwing families when they could squeeze another 5 - 10 mins of highlights in with such short space in the scedule already. doubt they'd continually show highlights for 40 mins. Thats cutting 20 mins of highlights a week. I think the most they've ever cut of was 20 mins during BB6 for highlight shows. Not too sure though.
Time slot- I couldn't see a permenant 10pm time slot being used. Perhaps 9.30 at the latest. The 9pm time slots pulled in slightly more ratings than the 10pm time slots during BB8.

Interesting. Glad those idiots aint doing BBBM anymore, saying that the show is **** anyway.
I'm not believing any of that at the moment on the grounds that it's far too early for any details of the series to be revealed...

But BB8 had appalling ratings (for Big Brother) and that was the first year it was in the 9pm slot for the first few weeks.
Its rubbish anyway, they can't have evictions on Sundays unless they start doing crowdless evictions.

Yes, and remeber its not aloud very loud evictions otherwise they'd be turffed of the land, therefore Sunday launches will almost be impossibe. I could see at Sunday launch, but not evictions.

The Channel 4 Sales website list of current sponsorship deals has Virgin Mobile listed solely for BBCH. There is no current listing for BB itself on Channel 4.
So we await an official announcement.

"Virgin Mobile UK is a mobile phone service provider operating in the United Kingdom. It is a subsidiary of Virgin Media."
It's a bit like how Brighter Pictures, a subsidiary of Endemol, now produces Big Brother UK - but the producer of the show is still widely considered to be Endemol.
