This was on last night and was outstanding was huge in he US and will be just as big over here. Weird it's shown on ITV2 when it makes sense to be shown on E4....

I loved it! It is so superior to The OC which really went down hill in the last season. The acting is superb, Gossip Girls voice is tempting and it's just as good as the books.
One of the negatives is that the characters aren't really that likeable....

it was amazing really.
dont agree about the oc though, it got back to there good old days in series 4, after the disaster that was series 3
It's only getting better that hockey fight seen was just amazing. Not as good as the O.C. yet though.

I love Eric but my fav is Jennie!
I'm so glad Blair and Serena have called a truce (well almost called a truce.) They show will really turn a corner if they do. It would be really nice to everubody getting on...but this is Gossip Girl so nothing is certain.

Tonights episode was amazing! Especially the ending with Timbabland. It was the best episode so far!

Gossip Girl is my fave new show. Bliar and Chuck make the show! I do not understand why people dont get that you are not supposed to like these people right away.

I know the O.C. is like an addiction especially when you have the box sets. I have tried everything to distract me from it, One Tree Hill, Sex and the City, Gossip Girl ect. But nothing compares lol :laugh:
How many episodes in this Season? And when does Season 2 start in US?

Agreed. I was actually thinking about not watching the last episode of Season 4, I couldnt bare the thought of never having any new episodes.

I only watched Season 4 once, and I'm never watching it again. The OC is horrible without Marissa. And I hate Taylor:mad: So no, I can't watch it because I find it unbearable. But I agree the last episode was so sad.:bawling:

there are 18 Episodes in season 1, originally there where ment to be 22 but due to the writers strike they had to cut it down!
As you all know Gossip Girl has been picked up for a new season (Thaks to the CW), which will contain 22-24 episodes and is due to air in the states in fall(aultum)

I love this show soooo much, watched all 18 eps! Everything about Gossip Girl is just amazing.. the characters/acting, fashion and story lines. Chuck and Blair really do make the show for me, I love them together (they're just perfect for eachother) and apart.
Can't wait for the series 1 dvd and series 2 to come out in later this year!

I hope they do more with Nate next season he needs some development. The season final was one of my least favourite episodes so far. They had been having such a Stella run post strike that got ballsed up by them two at the end.

Yea, Nate doesn't really get up to that much during the series which is a shame. He just always seems to be torn between different girls, bless :tongue: I hope we see a lot of him in the next series!
I felt the episodes new episodes were quite rushed, but I did like them.

I agree the last two seemed rushed The one where we find out what Serena did was totally how you would expect they would handle it and the final episode was very predictable. I still enjoyed them but they could have been better.
I caught an episode of Gossip Girl on TV today, on ITV 2 (I saw the pilot, and haven't seen any since) but I think the only problem with it is the actress who plays Jenny, she's so cringeworthy! It's not just the character, I think the actress who plays her is appalling.

Yeah she does a bit. I'd say it's kind of half and half between the actual character of Jenny, and bad acting. It just makes me cringe.

I agree, Jenny is very annoying. Although she has great style:lovedup: I got sick of waiting a whole week for each episode, so I'm watching them on the internet. It's really picking up, late Season 1 beats early Season 1 by a mile. I literally saw my first episode of this last night! My mate put it on when we got back 2 hers in the wee hours last nite. I LUV IT! Got back home about an hour 30 ago and found it on surfthechannel. Watched the first ep but the rest won't seem to work!!!! Does anyone know where I can get the rest!!!!

Did did anyone catch the Chace Crawford interview on T4 earlier? I just watched it now (taped it) and he was just talking about Ed, Carrie, Chuck and Nate's womanising and the show really.
I liked Jenny in the beginning but then she just started to crave for the high life and did anything she could to get there, but at the end I'm glad she realised that it all really wasn't worth it. She was being SO horrible to Blair in some of the later episodes and I just hated her!

I hate the DVD cover! Everyone looks so weird! They made Blair look like she was jealous of Serena (with the greasy hair) and Dan (who just looks weird) Nate looks less cuter then usual and Chuck is probably the one that looks the best on the cover. Oh oops I forgot about Jenny whose just peeking over Chucks shoulder to spy on her brother. Whats she doing there anyways?
I think Blair clearly stole the show.

OMG! I watched the last episodes online! Here are the spoilers
The reason Serena left the city was because she "killed" a guy. What really happened was that she and her friend Georgina and this guy were in a hotel room doing crack. He tried it on with S but she didn't want to so to distract him she suggested they did a few lines of coke first. However what S didn't know was that the crack was botched. He started having seizures which led to his death. S wanted to call an ambulance but Georgina wouldn't let because she knew they'd get in trouble if they were caught with drugs. Because S was the one who handed him the botched line and as she didn't call an ambulance she convinced herself that it was her fault he died.
Dan and Serena break up. Georgina finds Dan and pretends to be Sara a girl who just moved from the country and was scared of the big city. When Dan introduces her to Serena, she wants to tell him that she's lying to him. But Sara/Georgina says that if she tells Dan then she will show him a tape of the night in the hotel (this was the same night S and Nate had sex). What Serena didn't know was that, that night Georgina and the guy were planning on making a sex tape so they hid a camera in the room, therefore the whole coke incident was caught on tape. After it's all out in the open, Dan decides he's had enough and ends thing with S.
Eric is gay. Jenny starts to date a new guys called Asher. Dan sees Asher kissing an unidentified guy. Dan confronts Asher and Jenny but she won't believe him. Blair tells Dan the only thing teenage girls listen to are girls and Gossip Girl. So Dan sends GG a tip about Asher. Eric then comes out to be the guy Asher was kissing.

They've been filming for series 2 for the past month and the US premiere is on September the 1st. I SO can't wait.. it's gonna be amazing!

OH, I kinda knew that they wouldn't be together after the stupid S1 finale (damn Chuck) but I think they'll eventially get back together. I hope anyway, I love them together.
Dan and Serena are complete bores when they're together and Dan is just annoying. I'd prefer to see Serena with Nate anyways. Your probably the first person I've come across who loves them. I'm pretty obsessed with Chuck and Blair, so I understand your obsession!

I don't think Blair get back together STRAIGHT away. I was watching E! News and they spoke to this guy who's meant to be Blair's new love interest (also the guy with her on the bike). The creator did say Series 2 would be about Blair and Chuck though.

They reused a couple picture from season 1 except for one of them. I like how they used all the bad reviews too. It fits with the picture.
I can't believe they photoshopped Blair's top off to make it look more scandalous :laugh:
