View Full Version : Should they higher the prize fund?
Should they keep the prize fund at £100,000 or go higher,i think they should go higher to something like £175,00 as £100,000 is not that much for 13 weeks although it is a lot. What does everyone else think?

They gave 200 thousand away last time Liam and Brian took thgat lol. They should up the ante to make it more exiting. Maybe do another twist midway through like last time, but only different

I think it should be 0 at the start and as housemates win tasks they win money!
If not £100,000 is just fine

£250 000, but have a BB5 syle prize/task format :thumbs2: The housemates never work for the money any more. All they do is sit around and wiat for it to be handed to them.

No leave the prize fund alone I say! Besides that twist fell flat on its face because they always knew there was going to be to 2 prize funds and nobody was bothered when they announced there was two! £250, 000 was the highest prize fund ever in BB6 if Eugene hadn't taken the £50k.
I'd say half a million.
They can earn themselves £100,000 within a month of leaving. Sort of defeats the point of "the winner takes it all".
i think they should be told its 100 thousand when in fact it is 500,000, it would be great to see the winners face when they see 500k being transfered into their accounts live on air.
however, i also feel that big brother should allow the house to use the money while they are in the house and use it for utensils eg. dishwasher, microwave

Yeah like in BB3 when Jade came fourth but got £250,000 from the NOTW anyway more than three time the winners prize fund which was £70,000 grand at the time.

I'm going to further mine. Each week a live task can add £30 000 to the grand prize. That would mean in the end the winner would take home roughly £800 000. Also, like BB5, money will be deducted for rule breaking ect (£25 000 a go) This should result in alot more game playing. To stop the housemates being good and boring, they will not be informed each time the prize fund goes down until the final week.

I think the prize money should be £500,000. When housemates fail tasks or break rules lower the prize money. Also instead of an alarm to get the housemate out of bed the prize money should be shown on screen and the longer the housemates stay in bed the more it will decrease.

It needs to be higher and i think the housemate should earn the money through the tasks they do so it makes then want to do them more
maybe if they win a task they get 500 for it and can chose how much goes towards the jackpot and how much thy spend on shopping

I have only watched one big brother and the celebr hijack so I wont know weather they have done a similar twist before to past big brothers?
I was not too happy about the way Liam was given that money it was a silly idea and I dont think big brother got the reaction they were really hoping for from the housemates I think that big brother were hoping for rage and fury or even big concern from the rest of the housemates but they did not do that really much
Start with £250,000 but have tasks to determine whether the prize goes up or down.

During BB3 I think (cant remeber) more than 1 HM got prize money in the end
During BB5 Kitten had alot of money deducted for refusing the leave the house during her eviction/ejection. The housemates earned the prize fund in live tasks.
During BB6 Eugine was offerred £50 000 of the prize fund in the final week and took it.
During BB7 Nikki re-entered after living with 4 other Ex-Housemates in a second house (HND) and was eligable of winning the prize fund. This made some viewers complain.
It did affect the prize fund, infact If I remember righly Davina pointed that out herself.
Nikki got evicted, that should have been the end. She re-entered and gained a second chance, meaning the others had less of a chance of winning and caused house arguments.

I say leave it as it is.
The Apprentice winner only gets a 6 figure salary. Granted that can be anything from 100K - 900k
100k is enough prise money.
However I do like the idea of a higher amount and if they fail the tasks then the prize money goes down.
This way we wont get them just giving up as seen in the sleep task last year

Thanks for that, also if the twins had won they would have been counted as one, so the prizefund would have been split between them not that it matters much as they probably share the same bank account well maybe?

Oh Kitten was this anarchist/rebel who felt the need to constantly voice her opinion. She later admitted though that it was just cause she was afraid of being booed! (Turned out there was no crowd at her eviction)
Oh, and the Twins do share a bank account (I read it somewhere)

Jason, Dan and Shell would have had the worst blow probz. They had to live for 11 weeks under the whole Evil format, playing by new harsher rules, sticking with constant clashes and arguing, taking part in tasks including purposly throwing up, dangling over nettles and drinking blended animal guts, being constantly tricked and sprung apoun. And if thats not enough, they worked for it then watching it being snatched from them one by one.
I think BB5 should have had a split prize fund for all the finalists.
It definatley needs to go up to £500 000 this year, with 2 other finalists getting their own chunk. They will all have to work for it on a live Fri/Sat challenge, and it's tonnes easier to have money deducted.

Well, they spend an average of 20 odd million per series. I'm sure they could scape it up .BBUS gave a total of 1.5 mill not to long ago

I wonder if they raised the prize fund it would create more tension in the house. More camera time; more publicity; higher chance of winning. :)
And I'd love some bitchy competition in there, so, they should raise it.

They should put it up to make it worth while. I think it should be a million.
How many people would audition if the prize money was a million squid?
