Launch Date facts and patterns

I made this thread for patterns, sequences, lauch dates of other show and past laucn dates of BB.

After averaging all the lauch dates together (excluding BB1 which started in July) I found the average lauch date to be May 25 though BB2 was the only series to start on this date. The earliest has been BB7, May 18 and latest is BB1, July 14.

Then I looked at the days and found this pattern

BB8: Wednesday 30th May
BB7: Thursday 18th May
BB6: Friday 27th May

Which suggests a tueday launch which leaves May 13, May 27 (same as BB6) and May 20.

Then the return of Ugly Betty which has been confirmed for May 30 (same as BB8). BB8 ran with Desparate housewives so perhaps BB9 with Ugly Betty? This would be the first time in history that a series has launched on the same date as a previous one.

Britains Got Talent's live shows wil run from May 26 to May 30 with the final on May 31st. BGT hit BB8 hard last year.

So what does all this mean? You be the judge of that!

I think it will launch in the third week of May or the first week of June. There is no way it will launch in the last week of May because of BGT.

I think it will launch Thursday 22nd May because there is no competition and it should also then get the 10pm slot so it isn't effected by BGT the following week.

BB7 and BB8 both launched on the same day as the celebrity version earlier in the year.

CBB4 + BB7 = Thursday
CBB5 + BB8 = Wednesday

Celebrity Hijack was a Thursday so maybe BB9 will be a Thursday.

Since BB5 (Along with house/eye detail sometimes) the Daily Star always manage to get a pretty accurate date. So do the Sun.

Yeah its always leaked somehow. But besides from that, C4 release the official date a good bit before anyway IIRC.

Since BB5 (Along with house/eye detail sometimes) the Daily Star always manage to get a pretty accurate date. So do the Sun.

Its not a case of trusting C4, if it comes from them its official. But the tabloids have insiders,connections, ect. Thats how they get there inside news.

They scavenge around using their connections, ie SPIES and get the date in a sneaky way, without needing to pay for the info

Neil: A few more than three. I hear it will be back for a short run alongside the new series of Big Brother at the end of May.
