Production company Endemol has revealed it is busy developing video games based on its TV shows, including reality favourite Big Brother.
The firm, which also created the popular Noel Edmonds quiz Deal or No Deal, said it now has its own internal studios in Los Angeles to create titles for the casual gaming market on PC and possibly console as well.
Endemol's head of games Eric LcVanchy told MCV: "Online PC casual games is an area of focus for us. However, one of the conundrums of being involved in casual gaming is that it’s such a nebulous term. That said, looking at the distributed arcade platforms on the consoles – particularly WiiWare and Xbox Live Arcade – is certainly very interesting to us as well."
Endemol appointed Eric LaVanchy, founder of online developer Bottle Rocket, last month to head up its gaming division in a bid to increase revenue from its casual games business.

Really? That's odd - I thought most modern PCs could play games.
I suppose it would depend what the specifications of the game were.
But yeah, this is good news. Thank god it's coming to the PC - I don't "do" consoles

I think this is maybe taking the show a little to far?? There's already Sims for that type of stff. Buy an issolated neigborhood, Build a house, Make people, watch them 24/7 rushing to their every need
Anyway, I would probz want it for the 360.

The problem is though, is that the Sims 2 Big Brother games are 'make believe' and aren't the real thing, if Endemol make a Big Brother game, thats ACTUALLY based on Big Brother, then people will like it more than playing a load of 'make believe' Sims.
I hope this is true, but why bother if its ending in 2010?

No, i read it in a paper a few weeks ago, and then it was on here. I can't remember the paper, it was either the Sun or Daily star, but it said that it was finnishing in 2010. :conf2:...IF the ratings didn't pull in for Series 9.

I dont think Big Brother would make a very good video game. I think it would be better as a board game.

Probably not true. BB5, 7 and 8 have been reported to be the last series by the Daily star before :)

Yeah, it got the lowest ever rating in PC Gamer magazine...
In the UK edition, the lowest numerical score was 2%, awarded to Big Brother 1. The sequel, Big Brother 2, was given an even lower score of N/A%, the review explaining they "put as much effort into reviewing it as they did in making the game".

Did anyone watch BB Second Life?
That was amazing.
It's like a virtual world, but people lived in it. It was actually like a game.
I hope they're like that. I think, if a series of BB is like the second life series i saw, it would be the best yet.
