I moved to London 5 and a half years ago, away from my family. I am now however considering returning back up North.

Well I have an oppurtunity now (if it comes off) to move back up to Manchester, buy a flat and become mortgage free, and have enough cash left over to take a year out if I want. "crosses fingers" It would be silly of me to pass up on the oppurtunity to do so.

Cheers remy. I have been thinking about it for a while now, and I feel much happier now I have made my mind up what I want to do. I will just have to see what happens and what I can achieve from this. If all goes according to plan, I will be extremely pleased.

I can last about a year without working hopefully if I get the full asking price. That gives me time to have a break and look for something at my leisure.

Ideally not. I need to think about what I want to do as I want a career change, but am unsure as to what to do at the present time.

It was the biggest mistake of my life to go into IT all those years ago. You have to keep your skill set up to date and most companies wont help you to do it.

Mrluvaluva
03-04-2008, 03:28 PM
That's true. They don't want to invest in people, and then wonder why they move somewhere else.

GiRTh

Some people are loyal, but these days just about every company leaves you to up date your skill on your own.

Maybe if they invested in their staff, then they would have more loyal employees.
