View Full Version : ANOTHER Launch Date
BIG Brother 9 will come back to the nation’s tellies with a BB-ang on Thursday June 5.
Fans were expecting the reality TV smash to start next month.
But Channel 4 bosses have decided to delay its launch to avoid a clash with ITV’s ratings pulling hit Britain’s Got Talent.
Simon Cowell’s mighty talent search will climax at the end of May.
And as a result, the spy on the show will now start on the night of Thursday June 5 with TV host Davina McCall, 40, unveiling the new set of housemates.
This gives the show a clear run throughout the summer. It will last for a marathon 13 weeks again with the finale on Friday September 5.

Good. Hope its true. As long as these numpty fanatics can wait the almighty 1-2 extra weeks without chucking themselves into the river in desperation , its a smart business move.

A June launch. Sounds good :hugesmile: And it will give even more time for planning and finishing touches to the show.
Even better, the final is on a Friday :bigsmile:
If its true they have been very clever. 5th June is generally when exams are nearly over so theoretically more people would be willing to watch.
5th June is a Thursday and if they have good promotion, big memorable characters entering and perhaps a launch night twist, everyone will be talking about it the next day at work.
5th September is a very clever finale date as its when people are returning from their summer breaks so there might be a bit of anticipation about the final- again getting people talking about it.
5th June gives them plenty of time to finalise everything and heavily promote the show. I hope its true and it works out.

Face it there will not be a confirmed date until early May as Channel 4 themselves have stated. So we should just wait until Channel 4 themselves reveal the date, everything else is just guess work.

Why would they try to lead us astray. That would defeat the whole point of the article. Newspapers obviously want their stories to be true so they don't get a reputation for printing crap ie Daily Star.

newspapers lead us astray plenty, Im not going to make any assumptions that the start date they provide this year is going to be spot on and nor should you

Yes they lead us astray but they don't want or try to. At the end of the day they want their storys to be true so it looks like they have a exclusive.

I would hate to be on holiday on launch night, if I was then I would be screaming for it to be recorded otherwise I would have to wait until its on Youtube and watch it there lol
That probably wont take long anyway, most ends up on there like 48 hours max

Its happened to me twice, BB6 and BB8. But i sky plussed BB8.

I'm pretty sure June the 1st was the given date last year, then it turned out to be May 30th...

Anyone can edit wikipedia i will not believe anything until the date is released by channel 4
