I deffinatly will be switching off if it gets bad/dull/broing. I had too after just 8 weeks of BB8... permenantly except for the final and about 2 evictions. It put me off so much I didn't even bother wtaching BB:CH.

Anyway, this forum wont make a difference. We're a tiny speck of dust on the ratings ladder.

If Big Brother 9 is anything like Big Brother 8, forget it. It's Celebrity Hijack that gave me faith in Big Brother 9.

I know it wont make a difference. But put it this way, we cant let the average be lower than 3.5 million.
A 4 million average for BB9 would even be good, 4.7 just like BB7 would be amazing.

And Conor, you should of watched BBCH, In my oponion it was really good.

Unless TiBB members have a BARB box then it doesn't matter if we switch off. The average Joe doesn't account for ratings.

I'll still be watching all of the extra shows if it gets boring. At least from that I'll know what goes on without having to spend an hour on watching paint dry.

It's been bad for ages now. I always give it a chance but it's just the same every year - fame hungry desperados. Unless there are some real great, just-for-the-experience housemates, then no thanks.

I do not understand how can say that? (8) was not that bad! I never watched any big brother previous to (8) and celeb hijack was good but I personally prefered (8) to hijack

Thats the spirit :thumbs: I shall give it every chance, I know during (8) I got bored at times but I never gave up and I am glad I stuck around even though I wanted someone else to win, the same can be said for celeb hijack

Well your question is particually the answer. I've been here near 3 years,it a BB forum primarily but there is lots more on here and I get along with people on here. Plus I still like BB,I just don't love it like I used to.

Well your question is particually the answer. I've been here near 3 years,it a BB forum primarily but there is lots more on here and I get along with people on here. Plus I still like BB,I just don't love it like I used to.

Thats understandable, I am hooked on big brother so I am really hoping (9) will be really good. I hope you end up enjoying it and dont lose that big brother addiction and start talking about other shows instead, like ones that clash with big brother during airing. That would be almost treason lol:laugh::laugh:

It would have to be really dull for me to give up watching.There's normally one or two housemates that are entertaining and keep me watching anyway.

If you had seen every other series before 8 then you would know how bad BB8 was. Seriously, it was awful, people say BB4 was boring but at least it had some fairly decent tasks and well executed twists, and at least it had a couple of decent housemates Jon, Anouska, Ray. But BB8 was just dreadful, no entertaining housemates, bad tasks and loads of stupid twists that didn't work properly. I switched off two weeks before the end in BB8.

I'm hoping BB9 comes back with a bang.

I watched all of BB4 except 1 week when i was on holiday and BB4 was rubbish lol

I am a BB addict regardless of how rubbish it is lol

I have watched every series since the 2nd week of BB1, I'm not giving up now :)

I WONT turn off BB9

You are in no position to say whether BB was bad or not if you only started watching during BB8. You don't know what the producers are capable of. I'd also like to repeat that normal viewers have no impact on ratings.

So we all watch a **** show just to give endemol ratings they dont deserve? Are you that much of a mark for Big Brother , to give them sympathy and keep their ratings up?

Oh , and heres something that might shock you to the core.

Here goes...

It makes no difference if we all watch it more. Only houses with BARB boxes are the houses rating share is taken from.

The thing is, if I watch the launch regardless how rubbish the show is, i would need to keep watching until the end.I cant start a show without finishing it lol

But then your not in much of a posititon either, if you only watched 5.6 and 7, which were all relatively succesfull.

Anyone who tuned in to Big Brother for the first time in Season 8 is naturally going to think it's good with nothing to compare it to...

...at least I've seen three series (six including CBB4, CBB5 and CBBH)

They were all successful so he knows what the producers are capable of, not the mess we were given last year :thumbs:

I've watched every season (including teen/celebrity versions) since BB3, and BB8 was a huge disappointment compared to previous seasons. I seriously don't know why they keep flopping.

If it it a shambles then I will, for this series, just turn my TV on and leave it on channel 4 for the duration, and not watch it at all. My faith is with the producers.

Trouble is that only stereotypical BB contestant types audition for the summer show. Celebrity Hijack showed how good this how could be but it is unlikely to happen.
