Its happened so many times before but yesterday my chest hurt for the whole day, Im not sure why this always happens. Everytime I breath in I get a sharp pain on my left side of the chest/heart. And then I become all weak in teh arms. I remember I went to tehd octors last year and they said Im perfectly healthy but it keeps happening and yesterday for the first time It hurt non stop for the whole day.
Anyone know what this might be?
My dad says its a stitch because i made some sort of bad movement which made me have a stitch or something.

Last year the doctor just said that im fine and its probably because I drink too much caffeine(which is true) I have nescafe for breakfast and before I go to bed and sometimes I have Espresso, its hard not to have it when Im Italian and my family cant stop drinking it lol

That happens to me on some occasions. I remember once I was sitting down and then I tried to move but I couldn't because it was so painful in my chest, i couldn't move for almost an hour. I tried breathing into something, like I put some clothing over my mouth and breathed slowly (dunno how to explain it properly lol), and it went after a bit. I hate it. I never went to a doctor either so I dunno what it is.

Yeahh thats exactly what its like for me too.You cant move for a while because it hurts so much. My Mum says I have to lie down on my back to make it go away, but that doesnt help.

I get this problem sometimes and it lasts for hours, I don't know how to get rid of the pain it just goes by itself after a while for me.
Don't mean to alarm you but your heart is on your left side of your chest and an unhealthy heart will result in a pain in your upper arm.

First thing you need to do is cut down on the caffeine and then join a gym because that will improve your health and stop the stitches.

If it's that bad that you cant move, then that's oviously a sign telling you to go to the doctors. Dont your parent ever try and make you go instead of making you suffer like this?

Go to your local primary care unit ASAP, as it's a chest problem, they'll take it quite seriously.

Why wait for the pain to come again. I would go as soon as posible if something was wrong with my chest, even if it stopped.

You should give NHS Direct a call if you're not prepared to go to primary care and see what they suggest.

I was rushed to hospital because of it once. I had something to eat and then about 10 minutes later I had this horrible pain in my chest for ages. I couldn't breathe, so my mom took me to hospital. They didn't even know what it was.

Yesterday it lasted the whole day but it hurt less then normal. I went to the doctors last time when it wasnt hurting and they said it was nothing. Maybe if I go when I actually have the pain they might actually know something.

If they were a good enough doctors then they should know what's wrong, saying that my Doctors is ****. I have a ingrowing toenail which is so painful at time's and getting worse. Both sides of my toe now has gone all fat and keep bleeding and pussing but they wont do anything, just put me on a waiting list, so i have to wait which they said "could take months" :bored: Unless i go private but mother wont pay, which she shouldent. Sorry dident mean to go into a full on story there haha.

I know!! Doctors are supposed to be helpful but sometimes they just know nothing! My toenail was almost all off because something happened to it, they said "oooh I dont know, leave it for a few weeks" After 2 months of a painful toenail,I couldnt handle it anymore so I ripped my whole toenail off and screamed in pain but now its grown back.

I could never do that, i would actually die cause it kills if i just knock it on something, then bleeds like a crazy bitch. I have to soak it everyday which is very annoying cause if i dont i get layer apon layer of dried blood, "Lovely i know " They gave me antibiotics which gave me the worst pain in my stomach i have ever had, but they did calm down the bleeding. I must get more. Lifes a bitch, what can we say, anyway, still.... go to the Doctors or even better, Hospital.

Haha, nice indeed. I have left mine way to long now to rip it off, it's been like this since January 2007. Cant begin to think how much nail has actually grown into my skin :bawling:

I get that sometimes and I feel like I am getting a chest infection, its feel heavy and painful and then it goes :puzzled:
But my family has a history of weak chests so I just put it down to that.
But caffeine has a side effect that can give you chest palpitations and respiratory problems in some people
