According to the Channel 4 Sales website, Big Brother is starting in June so it looks like June 5th will be launch night.

It makes sense for BB to go out after BGT, its the only way to ensure maximum viewers. Just over a month to go!

This tells us BB will be on in June and will be a highlight programme that month. Not necessarily that it will start in June. June 5 still looks good but they could always be awkward and change it just to keep everyone on their toes.

It isn't in the May highlights so it won't be launching in May ...

I think BB8 was in the June highlights last year, because it started at the end of May.

It was at least in both May and June then, because I can remember there was some confusion.

I know that much. Lol. Apparently it was in last years May highlights and it launched on 30/5, so it must be a June start. I stand corrected.

Lets face it - the launch will be in early June. All the signs are pointing towards it, VoG has confirmed it, and I think if waiting another week means it avoids clashing with Britain's Got Talent then I'm all for it.

I'd much rather it launched in June, VoG has already confirmed this.

He has and everything points towards June 5.

I wouldn't be surprised and it would be an extremely clever marketing move if Channel 4 bought advertising space during Britain's Got Talent to show eye flashes and house adverts.

Well they advertised celebrity hijack during corrie once or twice.

Its obvious the launch will be in June now. VoG said so and C4 would be mad to launch it before or during the BGT live shows.

Can't wait for June!

Especially when you think, in 4 weeks time, there will be adverts airing on the TV!

Yeah the first week of June is pretty much definite now. It's just on what day it will fall, either the 4th, 5th or 6th.

If it starts in June and last for say 14 weeks then that means it will finish in September. Does anyone else think that too late? I always associate Big Brother with the summer.

Well if VoG is correct (which is almost certain), it finishes on the 5th Spetember. I agree that it is a little late, but I would rather it finish a bit later than start earlier and clash with BGT.

To think that in BB5 it finished on the 6th August, almost a month earlier than this year's.

It DOES tell us it starts in June, as it's not in the May highlights.

It's 13 weeks and September is summer.

The new planning permission expressly changed the finish date from August 31st (up to 2007) to September 30th (up to 2010).

This was done to give them flexibility in scheduling.

Which it seems they are now using.

It's 13 weeks and September is summer. Doesn't the cricket season finish in September? Dont the clocks go back to officially end Summertime in October? Technically September may be summer but it's very very late summer. Do you consider September 30th to be the height of summer?
