Was she? Are you sure? An adult male? Or did you mean she was born a male child? There's a rather big factual difference.

In any case the topic wording is misleading, equating telling people of one's transsexual past with "coming out", a term usually used by lesbians and gay men.

When they "come out" they are telling people who they really are. Nadia is already showing people who she is, who she had to go through much to fully become. Her past is stuff which is more likely to get in the way of people seeing that truth. She's a woman now, not any of the other classes of existence she used to be seen as ("boy", "transsexual", "freak", whatever). If she tells people about that she would be telling about a past medical condition she has a right to keep private, if she wishes. It's not dishonest to hesitate to talk about medical issues from the past that caused immense personal pain. That's very different to "coming out", and a difference many lesbians and gay men seem the one's who have most difficulties understanding or respecting - it was a lesbian and a gay man who were the first on BB to be seen discussing Nadia's possible past behind her back.

This is probably going to be very revealing...

Well according to the press release I have just received saying what is going to be in tonights show, SHE HASN'T TOLD THEM.

Nadia and Shell sit in the garden talking about having children. “Do you want children?” Nadia answers “I can’t have children.” Shell then asks why and “wouldn’t you want to try IVF? Quizzes Shell. Big Brother calls her to the diary room.

2.16pm
Nadia is in the diary room talking about her discussion with Shell. “I feel guilty because I have to make up a story to explain why I can’t have children… I don’t want to lie… but I’m not ready to be honest with the housemates, not yet”

When asked how she thinks the housemates will respond, Nadia says, “ I don’t think they’ll be shocked more question why I didn’t tell them. If it was obvious, I’d be very disappointed.” She then adds, “Its come up sooner that I thought!”

Nadia also talks about Ahmed. “He came up to me saying that I am such an intriguing person, he is suspicious of me.”

I have to say that I assumed that they all knew as Marco mentioned to Kitten that he thought she used to be a man, perhaps she has not told them fully!!!!!!!

Yes, I agree Amy - if Marco worked it out on the first night, then how come they haven't discussed it and sussed it by now?!

They have 24/7 close up contact with bright lights so i would have thought they could tell by now!! Perhaps Kitten has kept them so occupied that it's just not of interest to them yet.
