Miley Cyrus to be a billionaire!!

Teen star Miley Cyrus will be a billionaire by the end of the year, reports say.

The 15-year-old is officially the wealthiest child in the world following her success in Disney Channel series Hannah Montana.

According to People, the franchise will be worth £500 million by 2009, while Cyrus earned £9 million last year alone.

A Disney spokesperson said: "Kids are earning more and more and can command huge fees in Hollywood. But no one could have predicted how popular Miley would be. She's a true star."

Mum Tish Cyrus added: "A lot goes into her investment fund, which she can't touch until she's 18."

The singer/actress completed a 69-date tour last year, with her 3-D film Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour taking around £14 million in its opening weekend. She has also agreed a seven-figure deal to write her autobiography.

Other young stars on the rich list include band the Jonas Brothers and actresses Dakota Fanning, 14, and Abigail Breslin, 12.

I think this is just hype I mean if the franchise is “only” worth £500 million by 2009 where the hell is she getting a Billion from? She made 9 million last year so they expect her to make over nine hundred million this year? I dont think it even comes close to adding up.

I'm happy for her - simply because she never has to count up pennies to pay the rent for the next few months (like a certain mug *points to self*). But really, billionaire for being an actress is a bit silly... I wouldn't even expect scholars who dedicate 80+ yrs of their life to curing diseases and explaining World happenings to get that much.

I am happy though, financial security to that extreme must be nice....

I had the same thought. Maybe they mean the franchise will be worth 1 billion. In any case, I'm ridiculously envious. I mean, I honestly don't get envious very often but THIS makes me seriously envious.

The Hannah Montana franchise will be worth a billion. Miley herself would have only made 9 million last year through her albums and stuff. The HM franchise does clothes, magazines, dvds, equipment, cds etc.

I agree. I don't like these next generation Disney stars. I hope she doesn't become the next Britney Spears/Christina Auguilera. Good for her though, she accomplished a lot in 15 years.
