BIG Brother has hired private detectives to vet new housemates and uncover saucy secrets.

The London-based agency will ensure contestants have not hidden anything from TV producers.

There is pressure on Channel 4 chiefs for BB9 to be a hit when it starts on June 5, and they are going to great lengths to ensure it is not dogged by scandal. In the past, all the freaks and oddballs faced a police check, but this year producers have decided to boost their probes.

Page Associates detective agency includes former high-ranking police officers who have experience in anti-terrorism, arms deals and serious fraud.

They have been handed top-secret dossiers on the 25 faves in the running to enter the BB house.

A source said: “Despite our candidates having police checks, not everything shows up.

“There just might be things that these wannabes have chosen not to tell us, like sordid sex scandals, being a former member of a race-hate gang, working as a hooker or having members of their family with serious criminal convictions.

“Normally we hope the contestants play ball with us and tell us about anything nasty in their past.

“The last thing we want is another scandal like the Jade Goody and Shilpa Shetty fiasco.”

Page Associates boasts that it is one of the UK’s “leading independent international investig-ation teams”, who have a track record for “reducing exposures to risk”.

Might be true, there have been rumors of the theme being that every hm has a secret so this would play into that. Probably not true tho.
