Right I log into the C4 press site everyday for current news on BB as now is normally the time they start to post things. Just logged into the C4 press site today and was presented with week 22 listings(Saturday 24 May 2008 to Friday 30 May 2008), it states, on Friday 30th May that 8:00pm as TBD and 1:45am as TBA.
Now if C4 were to follow suit on the previous Friday (the 23rd May), they would show the next episode in the series of DEADLIEST CATCH.
Now this may be nothing, but I find it ironic that the gap between the TBD is until 10:00pm, the normal running time of launch night. And 1:45am, when the Live feed would begin.
Make of it what you will.... I will continue to speculate.
Overall, Big Brother 9 may be launching on May 30th :spin:

BB being in the June highlights isnt significant enough to suggest a june launch, because it starts at the very end of May therefore it is in ful swing during June explaining it being in the June highlights

The launch is DEFINITELY on June 5th. Applause Store are advertising the tickets as launch night tickets for June 5th.

Yes but Applause Store also listed tickets for Dancing ON Ice on a Saturday when it was on SUNDAY, so, no its not definitely on June 5th

It will not be on May 30th because it will be up against a ratings winner live show of BGT. i think a June 5th launch is the most likely option.

i want it to be later hopefully july 5th coz my exams go from 13th of may to 20th june, therefore if its june 5th i wont miss that much!

With all due respect, I would believe Channel 4 themselves over an external company, and besides, if applause store get it wrong they can quickly change it, wheres the statement from Channel 4 that officially states the launch is on the 5th June, applause store is hardly official. The press site will be far more accurate. When the listings for June 5th are released and it says that's the launch, then I'll believe it :wink:

Maybe, but i'm sure Channel 4/Endemol would have contacted Applause Store by now if they'd got the launch date wrong.

TiBB's very reliabe insider VoG also told us that the launch will be in the first week of June.

Oo I hope its on June 5th now because if its on May 30th than it will surely go aggainst BGT and also im going to Greece from the 18th Aug-30th Aug so if it starts on May 30th it will end on August 30th meaning I could miss the finale. But Im not sure yet if im arriving in the morning, if it is that thats great for me.

Im not doubting what you posted, I was just wondering how they will work around things. But I dont really mind when it starts as long as we start to get some juicy info :spin2:

VoG could just be working off rumors. Everything he said had been previously rumored.

I'd sooner believe the papers, applause store, heat, VOG, digital sid and various other sources than speculation based on a TBD from a future unfinished schedule.
I prefer June, it's more summer.

the majority of the sources saying June 5th with the exception of maybe the daily star, are reliable.
last year various dates were suggested from TBDs in the schedule, none of them were right.

Its most likely to be June 5th. Heat, The Sun, Daily Star, Wikipedia and many other sources have said it, also tickets are being sold for June 5th meaning the Launch will most probably be then.

The launch could be brought forward, there is still always a possibility.
And it hasn't been confirmed yet by channel 4 so nothing is official until its confirmed by them.
^^Wikipedia isn't reliable as it is edited by anyone.

BGT slaughtered BB with the ratings last year, so if Channel 4 are being logical they wont go up against it again. They will want to make this series really be something special, and making sure that the launch is well out of the way of BGT, will somewhat help them.

I dunno why allot of you are getting your knickers in a twist, it's just a bloody date, lol, I only posted it because it was put on the C4 press site.
Which brings me to my reply to the people saying that the Star, applause store, heat, and wikipedia have the correct date: Channel 4 are more official than any of the above mentioned :wink: Besides that, I never said it was a done deal, it's just a possibility :bigsmile:

yes but Channel 4 are not saying it's May 30th, you are based on a long TBD in the schedule. I'm sure there are tens of TBD in the schedule for that week, doesn't mean any of them are the launch.
but I do realise you said possibility.

The situaiton could not be more different though. You cant just go comparing years. Big Brother was a stonrger brand last year than it is now. And even last year it flopped in its first few nights against BGT.
Can anybody honestly think in their right minds that they would put ti against BGT again?
Channel 4 aren't stupid enough to launch Big Brother on a Friday anymore let alone on the Friday when the Britain's Got Talent final is being held.
Applause Store could be wrong but VoG said it launches in the first week of June, and that for me is enough. It doesn't make me think June 5th but its obviously around then.
We'll either find out at tomorrow nights Heatworld exclusive or on Wednesday's press release.
