I think people are excited because there's been no serious fake eye.

Every year there's a fake which people are convinced is the leaked eye. This year there was no such thing, meaning we have absolutely no idea what to expect!

It will be revealed 1 week later than it was last year seeing as the show starts 1 week later than last year. Somebody mentioned "The eye is going to be green with a red line horizontally through the middle. On screen the line will move up and down over the eye throughout the title sequence, momentarily making the eye turn black over the area that the line has passed over".

Not sure about that, but he must have visited all the fan sites to find the fan made designs. He also gave an interview where he was amazed at the public response to the BB8 eye.

To be honest though, I don't like the disorganisation by C4, maybe it's my OCD, but wouldn't it have been better to have a countdown to each press release, so one for the presenter pics, one for the eye, one for the house pics, and so on?

What you see above is the source code of the javascript file that controls the countdown clock, if you read carefully, once it hits 0 it clears and does absolutely nothing, there is no resulting 'action' - meaning, someone is literally going to be uploading the eye / new site / anything else on midnight.

Which further raises the question of the possibility of a slightly early / slightly late showing due to the person responsible's quality of clock :P
