Seeing as Conzors can have this post we only felt it was right that we have our own post too.

Leaving School - We know that some of you will also be leaving school this summer and we think it's sad, but also we are now free from boring lessons, pointless homework and annoying people. We will miss the school but now we have a new beginning and we can now become independant. So don't be sad, be happy!

Michael Jackson - He is a strange man but we think he is extremely talented and we should always remember that. He is NOT a child molester, it's not been proven.... yet.

John Cena - The Champ is NOT here. We think he's repetitive and boring. Only the fangirls enjoy watching his boring matches but I have to say his promo's are okay. Other than that he only has kiddie fans and maybe the odd weirdo such as our beloved Amy21.

US Presidential Election - We are supporting Clinton because we think if Obama gets into power then he will become a dictator and take the US to war with everybody. Remember what he said about 9/11? So support Hilary Clinton.

More opinions are coming soon! :)

Thanks for reading love from Sarah and Luke! x

If you are leaving school to go to college thinking it will be different, you are gravely mistaken.

Oh come on leaving school is exciting, remember when you left how filled with thoughts for the future you were? Let them enjoy this time of great change. Yes things are a lot different to how you think they are going to be but they are not all that bad.

I have very fond memories of college, and Higher Education, enjoy yourselves.

I dont agree with you on a few of the things you say though

Michael Jackson - He is a strange man but we think he is extremely talented and we should always remember that. He is NOT a child molester, it's not been proven.... yet.

Nor has it been disproven either, it was technicalities and a lot of money that have always prevented Mr Jackson from reaching prosecution.

It was good leaving and looking back I do miss school but I expected college to be completely different and I didn't think it was. I hated college and left quite recently, very happy :cheer:

A gap year; term very loosely used. Getting a job or whatever and if I like it I'll stick at it, if not I'll try something else and maybe go to Uni next year but the chances of that are slim because I don't want to.

You might feel differently in a year, once you have had a break from college and learning. Good luck with what ever you decide to do.

Whilst I also support Clinton and dislike Obama, I find that accusation a little...unfounded

I personally dislike him because he's all style and no substance, and everyone seems to be swept along in an apparent tidal wave of hyperbole and hope. But does he have the ability to fulfill his promises? I think not.

Would you allow your (proverbial) 8 year old son to go to his house alone, unattended?

Most people would say no, showing that falsification is a principle way above "innocent until proven guilty". Until the testimonies of those numerous kids have been disproved, I wouldn't say outright that he's not a child molester.

I agree about John, He's boring and samey, all he has going for him at the moment is his looks.
Gah only if they turned him heel, him becoming the Dr of thuganomics again would be bad ass, he was awesome heel.

Heel Cena= :D

And lucky you, our school arent letting us leave untill our exams are over, i hate my school. Can't wait to leave.

Tom and Brother , what are you talking about? Im going to college next year and I cant ****ing wait. Its going to be ALOT better than Secondary School.

I get to wear my own clothes , join societys , do subjects I actualy PICKED and WANTED to do , get treated more like an adult , live the college life , all of that sort of stuff.

College is ALOT different to school.

Shaun
16-05-2008, 04:23 PM
My college wasn't. Same uniform (it's a Sixth Form), harder work, the teachers are like the Gestapo trying to make sure you attend lessons, aren't allowed outside of the school grounds, not that we listen to them regarding that since we have cars.

We also had a pretty **** common room.

College is a lot different to school. 6th form isn't, I loathe it, it's exactly like year 11 all over again with a tiny bit more freedom. But college is a lot different, more laidback, your own clothes [no shirt, tie and pants], just a lot different. But it's only 'good' if you're willing to put the work in yourself, because nobody is on your back unlike 6th form, and I'm not motivated enough to do it myself, hence going back to 6th form.

... and thats what I thought too. Its very similar. The only difference is that you don't wear a uniform and you pick your subjects. But you still have teachers moaning about how many minutes late you are, moaning about your work and homework and you actually have to revise if you want half decent grades.

Seriously, don't tell people who've been to and [nearly] finished college that its different to school. Most people realise its not once the novelty wears off about 4 or 5 weeks into the first year.

Its not that different once you've settled in and the novelty has worn off. Eventually it just seems like school but non-uniform day every day. And a lot of people have said that from both the college I went to and other ones my friends went to.

Well we both went to very different colleges, though I didn't last long in mine. Put it this way, you don't have people calling up your mum in college to say I haven't turned up for a lesson, you do in 6th form. And you also don't have "parent days" in college when people are nearly 18 either, some nearly 19. College is a lot less patronising.

We did ...

The teachers always used to call up parents to complain about lack of work, there were parents evenings for the teachers to bitch to parents like in school, and there were attendance and behaviour reports with different stages, like in school. And if we didn't turn up to our lessons and our parents hadn't phoned in before 9am to say why we were going to be absent then we got phonecalls home for that lesson, so it could mean 2 or 3 phonecalls per day. We even had written reports sent home in the post. It wasn't just mine like that either.

Well colleges in Manc must be 10x better than ones across the country because it's the first college I've heard to treat "adults" like that.

Tom
16-05-2008, 04:45 PM
Well the colleges you've heard of must be strange, its not just the ones around here, because I know plenty of people across the country who have had a similar experience in college.

Some people call University a college. Are you sure you aren't getting them mixed up and you are right in saying its a sixth form college which is what I went to which is essentially just a sixth form but detached and in its own building?

I have no idea what your talking about because in Ireland , thing work a little differently. But I think its fair to say that if I spent a month and a half at a College , I would cop on to the fact that it was a college , unless I had my eyes closed for the duration of the stay ...

In Ireland , it works like this...

Primary School for six years [roughly between the ages of 6-12].

Secondary School for six years [12-18 , although its legal to leave school after the third year if you are over 16].

Then , if you choose , you can go to university/college , whatever [Its called UCC , university college Cork , theirs a few other colleges as well like CIT , College Of Commerce , and Trinity College in Dublin].

Thats why we have differences in opinion. Over here its:

Primary School (3-11)
Secondary School (11-16)
Sixth form (either at school or college; 16-18/19. This can also not be sixth form A Levels but other course types, e.g. vocational [childcare, builder etc])
University (some Uni's referred to as 'college', some Universities have 'college' in their name)

We can leave after secondary school, and obviously the college I refer to is sixth form, but you refer to something higher than that :cheer: Glad we've got that misunderstanding out the way on both our parts

Right now im 17 , and have one full year left of secondary school before going to University. So yes , theirs the culture barrier smashed. Im in what is your 'sixth form'.

In that case , apply everything I previously said about College being a blast to what you dub 'University'.

Our education system is completely warped and archaic. We have to , by law , study Irish for eight or so years. Bear in mind Irish is a now defunct language with no use outside education whatsoever.

And you have to PASS Irish to get into Uni. Even if you want to do English in Uni , and get an A in your English when leaving secondary , it wont matter. You wont get in if you dont pass Irish [which is COMPLETELY useless if you want to do ENGLISH in uni] , Maths , and either French , German , and Spanish , the other core subjects.

Tom
16-05-2008, 07:11 PM
We just have English, Maths and Science by law then any other subjects such as ICT added on by the school, then 3 optional lessons (in most schools) although in sixth form you can choose up to 4 subjects you want to do, there are no requirements for subjects, although you need so many points to get onto certain courses based on GCSE results.

It seems quite odd about your Irish though :puzzled:

Here are more of our opinions..

Death Penalty
We think it should be brought back. Dirty criminals why should they live so two wrongs don't make a right who cares it would be nice to watch them die painfully especially paedophiles we would like them to have a public torturing first then die slowly and painfully for the fun of it.

Heather Mills
Who cares if she is a gold digger, Paul has got enough money why should he have it all. We think good on her to get some money out of him if that was her plan from the beginning or not. We would do the same if we had the chance to, I hope she spends the money all on herself.

The McCann parents
Lock them up and throw away the key!

They are disgusting parents leaving their kids in an apartment on their own in a foreign country, involved in Madelines death or not its their fault for leaving her. The other kids should be taken off them while they are in prison for neglect. We don't know why people feel sorry for them, people should feel sorry for the children they are the ones who have suffered.

Paul and Lennon were one of the greatest song writting teams ever. The bands recording methods are the stuff of legend. They blended catchy pop tunes with flair and later turned those same catchy pop tunes into genuinly thought provoking songs that , more often than not , carried a strong message. Any pop stars doing that today? Try giving Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band or Rubber Soul a listen to. If you dont find Hey Jude worth its salt , nothing will do im afraid.

And even if you STILL dont like them , to suggest we should forget them? Thats mental , my friend. Not after the legacy , memories , and millions of fans that still persist even today.

If it weren't for McCartney or any of the other Beatles, music today wouldn't be the same. The number of artists, and indeed genres, they've influenced and revolutionised is huge.

Sooner everyone forgets them? never going to happen. Do you think the Leona Lewis's of the world are going to be remembered in 20 years time , let alone 50? Not. A. Chance.

Have you listened to a Beatles album the whole way through? You really need to do that in order to 'get' them. Im not trying to sound pretentious here , either , but chances are , you have not.

Well if you think it sounds stupid why say it, thats stupid.

I said what I said because I don't think it sounds stupid.

Well if you think it sounds stupid why say it, thats stupid.

Because I was giving it to you as an example.

Me telling you to leave TiBB and forget it even if you love it.

You telling me everyone should just move on and forget about the beatles.

Same difference , they both sound extremely stupid. The difference was , I was only giving an example. You were being serious.

Ah OK, let's forget about the Beatles. Whilst we're at it, let's forget about 9/11 and Hitler.

Let's forget everything!

I mean, after all, it's not like the past has any influence on us today, does it?

Yes , I said one as an example.

What you are telling me is that everyone who loves the beatles should just move on and forget about them. Even if they love them. Why? Its stupid. Nothing you can say or do will change that from being a stupid comment. It makes zero sense , and it will never make more than zero sense.

Death Penalty
We think it should be brought back. Dirty criminals why should they live so two wrongs don't make a right who cares it would be nice to watch them die painfully especially paedophiles we would like them to have a public torturing first then die slowly and painfully for the fun of it.

The death penalty is not fool proof, so many innocent people have been put to death because of it. Not just in the past in this country, but still in America with all the modern technology available. I am strongly opposed to the death penalty, I dont believe we correct a wrong by taking a life.

Heather Mills
Who cares if she is a gold digger, Paul has got enough money why should he have it all. We think good on her to get some money out of him if that was her plan from the beginning or not. We would do the same if we had the chance to, I hope she spends the money all on herself.

He should be able to keep his money because HE WORKED HARD FOR IT. Also some of his fortune belonged to his first wife Linda, she also worked hard for it. Why should any of his estate go to her, why should his childrens inheritence be eaten into by a money grabber like Heather Mills.

I agree they should never have left those children alone and vulnerable. I cant understand why they did it, as a parent I would never and have never left my children unsupervised. I feel deeply sorry for Madeline who is missing and deeply sorry for her siblings who have been depreived of a big sister. They will never get to enjoy a relationship with her. They will always live in the shadow of their missing sister.

Leaving School - We know that some of you will also be leaving school this summer and we think it's sad, but also we are now free from boring lessons, pointless homework and annoying people. We will miss the school but now we have a new beginning and we can now become independant. So don't be sad, be happy!

Over here, theres no collage and 6th form. Just 14 years of school(8 primary+ 6 secondary) then uni. I'm really sad cos its like the end of an era! Haha cheese there but whatever. I'm excited, just really emotional about it all.

OH.MY.GOD.

Even people who hate the Beatles admit they were good and they were extremely influential. Do you think we'd have many British indie bands today if it wasn't for the Beatles? The fact of the matter is no we wouldn't. They were EXTREMELY successful and if loads like them then it shows that those who don't like them are in the minority, and perhaps the ones lacking taste. As for forgetting about them. What an utterly stupid comment to make. The Beatles are still popular, many people would rather listen to them than modern day acts, as well as being popular with the generation they were successful with. But do you know how stupid that sounds? "Lets just forget about them". No chance. Its like asking old women to throw their Patsy Cline and Dusty Springfield CDs or vinyls in the bin, its just not going to happen.

I tell you what, you give up something you love, something that has been really influential, say Big Brother. Just stop watching it and forget all about it. Move on.

Because they are a part of history. Without them todays music landscape would be a lot different. Other big people in history aren't forgotten, why should the Beatles be?

Billy

More opinions

Cinema price
We are annoyed at cinema prices. We went to the cinema the other day and payed £6.50 each to see The Mist, the actors couldn't act, it was badly written and it wasn't entertaining at all. Now we don't mind paying to see a good movie but £6.50 is just too much then they have the cheek to charge £5.00 for popcorn and drinks. So we have to pay £6.50 to see a crap movie while walking like idiot as we try and hide food and drink in our cloths and it goes in some really uncomfortable places.

Hand washing
When we went to the cinemas the other day, we went with our friend Chris (doesn't shower and smells). He is a disgusting Human, sneezes, goes to the toilet and does other things with his hands and then doesn't wash them! So after messing with himself he put his hand into my food so now i'm eating all the germs off his hands. We have had to put up with this for 5 years now and we think others shouldn't go through this so if you don't wash your hands they should be cut off

Student/teacher relationships
Both me and mrs_rko has a special relationship with our science teacher. It all started in detention one Friday afternoon and we just couldn't help ourselves, one thing lead to another and we had this special relationship with out science teacher for a few months. it was more than abit of fun, us three had a connection together which made science go so quick. We have now left school and don't see him anymore, but we are going back in September so hopefully we will see him around the place then. Student/teacher relationships are looked down on but many people like me and mrs_rko have a special connection with our teacher, it didn't effect out learning so we don't know what the fuss is all about

WE HAVE MORE OPINIONS OMG. co written by myself and Spike! ENJOY.

Attention Seekers
We hate attention seekers, we all know one who makes lies up or just tells you about all their problems when you don't care for abit of attention. If your life revolves around telling people your life storys and problems go on The Jeremy Kyle show then shut up about them. There is nothing worse than an attention seeker, and while you crave your attention you will have more problems from people hating you.

Britney Spears
Ok her music is good but lets face it she is a disgraceful person. Its ashame to see the pop princess fall but she is a complete joke. She is a mental case, bad mother and also divorced I don't like to judge people but she should be put down like a dog. And still she has support from nut case fans, these people annoy me and like her should be put down like a dog.

Zac Efron
Zac Efron. Why the obsession? Ugly & talent less are two words that come to mind. Good looks? Are you kidding? Good acting skills? A laughable comment. Seriously now, I mean, a perfect fit in High School Musical because it’s as cheesy as him, but Hairspray would’ve been a better film if he wasn’t in it, compared to the likes of the other actors and actresses in that movie, he just didn’t live up to their talent. He should get the hell off our screens and back to wherever he came from.

High School Musical
High School Musical is something I do not understand why it is so popular. The songs are cheesy, the acting is terrible and the whole point of the damn films are just well… pointless. I don’t care for some talent-less teenagers jumping around and singing and I just don’t see the point in following this trend. But hey, I guess you HSM lovers are easily pleased by the mindless crap they shove down your throats on the Disney Channel, this ain’t no different. They are just stretching this trend as far as they can just to make as much money from you idiots for as long as it’s fed to you.

But hey, I guess you HSM lovers are easily pleased by the mindless c**p they shove down your throats on the Disney Channel, this ain’t no different. They are just stretching this trend as far as they can just to make as much money from you idiots for as long as it’s fed to you. [/quote]

Totally agree! Zac is the ugliest person I have ever seen and his singing and acting is terrible! His face looks like someone has tooken a grater to it it's that ugly! And HSM, were do we start?.....OMG!

I love how they claim that people who watch Disney are watching mindless crap... on a Big Brother forum. High horse... off.

Multi-billion $ company, I'm sure all of their actors are fully trained and much more skilled than anything one of us could come up with. Especially funny how someone with no proper theatrical training finds it their place to comment on the acting skills.

Well if you can see, their "opinions" were directly at me. And no one calls Britney a bad mother when I'm around. I don't care who it is, they'll hear what I have to say.

No need to get so defensive over someone who would never even give you the time of day.

I can do what I like. I'm a fan - that's we do. I've defended her many times because there are things like you that feel you need to bring her down.
