tbh we have no real proof its on June 5th. ApplauseStore are wrong many times, ie this year with DOI.

They started with promotion really early for BB5 and BB6 so why not for BB9 so C4 wanted to advertise it alot. My friends have noticed the eye flashes and say they are going to watch, so its getting more people aware that the series is coming.

Realistically its only going to launch on a Wednesday or a Thursday. The other days just don't pull in enough viewers.

I think it will launch on June 5th, not just because many sources say it will but because in 2006 and 2007 the main summer series launched on the same day as the winter series previously that year. BBCH launched on a Thursday.

With no signs of Big Brother in the 30th May schedule (which I posted up a bit) then I think Big Brother will launch the following Thursday- the 5th.

Last year the official press site never had Big Brother in its JUNE listings. Nor was VoG there to back it or and Applause store corrected their mistake soon after,. I'm sure they wouldn't do that again. Also, this time every major paper (and heatworld, which is another reliable source) are backing up the June launch. Surely that must be enough for you, and nothing slight?

C4 decides on how much and how long to advertise Big Brother like any other show depending on how much advertising C4 feels that programme needs. Obviously because of BB8 and poor ratings C4 have done the sensible thing and advertised for longer this year to win back the viewers.

Because when people base their opinions on facts that are not there, they can no longer hold a debate, hence flying into other aspects of the forum trying to cause trouble to direct away from the original meaning of the argument.

This IS a pointless thread. I cannot stress how pointless it is. Applause Store, VoG, Heat Magazine & Star Magazine have all said June 5th. Schedules for May 30th have been posted in the first two pages of the thread.

Well I have to admit.... I used to find Conor's posts quite depressing. But I suppose on second viewing, you actually do have some pretty valid points. As well as that... you are truly honest.

BB9 is actually going to start tomorrow night and I know that because why else would they release the BBLB presenter pics today??!!

Anyway, seriously, BB9 will be launching the first week of June, either June 4th or June 5th (most likely June 5th due to Applause Store selling tickets for that date and the rest of the press reporting that date), but if you check C4 Sales site June 4th also has the schedules free on C4 from around 8-11pm, so it is always possible for Wednesday launch.

Also just because the eye flashes have already started doesn't mean the series will start earlier, BB8 flopped, ratings went down, so more advertising needs to go into BB9 to get people to notice, hence why the advertising campaign has started earlier this year.

One thing to note is that generally Channel 4 never stick to any sort of schedule with BB. If anyone is interested, Big Brother 6's countdown started long before the show started, 18 days as far as I know....

I think its pretty safe to say this year's launch date is June 5th, I mean they've confirmed it, haven't they? It's very unlikely that if it was on May 30th they wouldn't have confirmed it yet.

C4 havent offically confirmed it as 5th June but theyve said first week of June so the 5th is probably it

:laugh3::laugh3: ye can u imagine! i just brought my TV mag and at the back it says BB is back which means that BB is defo starting the week of sat 31st may - 6th june! so if the june 5th lauch date is correct it will start on a thursday!
