View Full Version : Launch date extended to 100 minutes but what could this mean?

Channel 4 have confirmed Big Brother is to premiere with a 100 minute launch show on Thursday 5th June at 9pm!

this could mean more housemates but also a big huge twist/task for opening night!

So the house divide could be true and visible from the start or it could be a live task or eviction etc

what do you think?

or maybe its to improve the launch so things can go a bit slower and therefore better .. it was getting a bit rushed in the past few years

Well apparently 16 are going in so that would explain the extended launch night cos usually they send 10-12 in first night. Correct me if im wrong lol.

This is still quite a long show even if 16 housemates entering and im thinking something big will happen as they need all the promotion they can get this year so this ill set a big and successfull seres off!

hopefiully they wont just throw them in the house and have some time for chatting it really annoys me when they move onto the next housemate really quickly

Thanks, all I reckon is that there will be more than 10/11 housemates, and thats why they added on an extra ten because it takes around 5 minutes per housemate to go through their vt, procession into house etc....

blimey that's long. they have never had that before, almost two hours! maybe too long in my opinion. does sound like there might be some sort of massive twist

Really? I thought it was shorter than 90 minutes, I thought it was I hour and 15 minutes for some reason.

I remember she was trying to introduce housemate #4 (Shahbaz) and she kept laughing at the first three. I can't wait till this year's launch. Hopefully we'll get a better house tour for starters than last yr ...

It's longer probably because there's more housemates, more things going on (twists), more adverts....

Just a shame it's not going to be live - it'll be broadcast on around a 40-minute delay as they have to get the crowd out of Elstree by 10pm.

maybe the later part doesnt involve a crowd and im sure they have been there past 10pm before... on evictions
