I think all your points are valid couldnt agree more with you about shanessa, kara lousie etc.Worst thing bb ever did in any series and aggravated me so much.
However i still say bb4 was wayyyy worse than bb8.It did still have its interesting bits and i did keep watching til the end which i just couldnt bear to do after the 2nd week in bb4-i diddnt even watch the final!

I agree BB8 was dreadful. The start put me off it completely.

BB4 was crap as well, especially compared to BB3 the year before with Jade, Alex, PJ etc.

I liked BB8, but it would have been much better if there wasnt the all girls launch.

i really liked bb8, but its soooooooooooooo good to look back on all the best moments now... it really had some gems!

the house i found really fresh and summery, light and airy.... which i think really worked!

i miss seeing sam, amanda, liam brian and chanelle...

It could of been better i guess. But thats your opinion. I didn't like it because of the "Make up then break up" Keep happening in the house, there were too many showmances!

Ziggy and Chanelle.
Amy and Liam.
Amanda and Brian.

Another reason was the all girl launch. And all the "Copycat Twists" like the Halfway House!? I mean come on!? lol.

But on the other hand, in my opinion, it was not the worst series ever.

I found it good actually. Much better than BB7.

I think the girls launch was a great idea: different dynamic and bigger drama and God knows girls make much more drama about anything.
We had quite a few big characters and a good diversity of housemates.
We had amazing tasks such as the 7 deadly sins, travelling back in time...
It delivered one of the best twists on BB history: the fake week and the fake eviction brilliantly done by Charley.
It was a bit dull, younger and more innocent unlike BB7 which was just terrible IMO.

Completely agree with the OP (except for the target, it was clear from the beginning that it was just a part of the house design, and the house - it wasn't the best house ever but it certainly wasn't ugly).

BB8 was the most dire series of Big Brother that I've ever had the misfortune to watch - words cannot describe how bad it was.

The impact of that twist lasted about five minutes. The all-girl launch was a cheap gimmick and was one of the poorest excuses for a twist in BBUK history.

I think the twist was original, new and quite good to watch. That was different and apparently no one was ready for a bit of change.

For BB7, I know 99% of the British public loved it but I don't. No matter what the ratings say or if it was the producers favourite, for me BB7 was crap.
By crap I mean a bunch of lunatics, freaks and morons who act like 4 y-o children. We had everything but normal people except for 4-5 housemates. I felt sorry for them but I watched it because I thought it would be better, I was wrong.
The twists were terrible, the only decent one was the BigBrotherHood.
I don't even mention the most obvious winner of all and the Nikki favouritism and also the most fake housemate ever, Aisleyne.

It's not that we weren't ready for change, it's just that the all-female twist was pointless, crap and had little if not no impact on the house, especially considering it only lasted two days.

I'm not saying you have to like BB7, but to call it worse than BB8 is an insult really.

You said BB7 had housemates who were "a bunch of lunatics, freaks and morons who act like 4 y-o children." - as did BB8. Who could forget Sam and Amanda "OMG PINK PINK PINK PINK PINK!" Marchant and Brian "Who the hell is Shakespeare" Belo - if anything, BB8 had the bigger freaks who acted like 4 year old children.

The BB7 twists might have been terrible, but at least they were well executed. The House Next Door twist wins over the Halfway House hands down. None of the BB7 twists (except for the voting housemates back in twists at the end - that was pointless beyond belief) were gimmicks, unlike the much-mentioned BB8 all-females twist.

Credit where it's due however, Fake Week was a good idea. If it had been executed better - and if it wasn't just a blatant scam to save Charley - it could have been one of the best twists ever.

I don't even call the full female house a twist, it may have been pointless but it was a change the producers decided to make.

About the bunch, most of them acted pathetically and were truly ridiculous like Pete, Aisleyne, Nikki, Sam, Lea, Dawn and Shabbaz. I mean come on, don't tell me they were spectacular.
I'm not saying Brian wasn't dull, I don't like him at all and we both agree on that: he was terrible.
For the twins, I would say they were innocent and happy without acting like freaks and are far from being the wannabees that Aisleyne and Nikki are.

Except the BigBrotherHood who brought a lot of actions, all the others weren't good IMO even if I have to say they were kinda well executed as far as creativity wise is concerned.
The Halfway house wasn't a bad idea but it was featuring the wrong housemates same as the HND. The reason I don't like it is Aisleyne and most of the new housemates.

Finally about the Fake Week, it wasn't a fix or whatever, the producers had this plan for weeks in mind and didn't make it only for Charley, that's a fake reason not to like it.

Yes thats it! The reason the ENTIRE 13 weeks long series failed was because the target wasn't used! It's all so clear now!

For me, Charley ruined it. The constant scams and fixing the votes to save Charley ruined it. It was NOT The Charley Show. She ruined it completely.

Halfway House was embarrassing. Jonty, Shanessa, Kara and David are 4 of the most forgettable housemates of all time. Amy was alright. But just alright.

The constant evictions where 2 people left. Tracey was robbed of her eviction night due to leaving with Kara.

The rushing, the unplanning, the whole series was not thought through.

Chanelle and the Twins were the only good thing. They were wasted on that series.

And BB7 was a million, million, million times better. That was an amazing series. This was hardly even a series.

in a way..charley riuned it.......her personalty was just tooooo big...

BB8 ranks as one of my least favourite series' but it did have it's moments:

- Fake week
- The sinners task
- The return to BB3
- Billi vs. Charley
- Brian vs. Charley in THOSE outfits - More ridiculous than Jason and Victor in Fight Night dressed as clowns, or Imogen and Sezer vs. Richard dressed as geeks.
- Charley being locked in the vestibule watching the others enjoy the party.

Pretty good housemates and some good ideas but overall it felt a bit "forced" and just lacked something.

Looking back now, it wasn't that bad
It was nice to see a nicer series but still with all the elements to a great series. It was never the best but it wasn't that bad, its probably my fourth favourite.

Big Brother 8 was the only series where I lost interest to the point of not even wanting to see the finale. Four pathetic finalists in the form of Jonty, Carole, Ziggy and Liam. The only thing that redeemed it was the wonderful Brian winning.

Suffice to say, the emotionally stunted, passive-aggressive bully and all round killjoy Carole was mostly to blame for Big Brother 8 being such a disaster. She drove Lesley to leave and was effectively responsible for getting Nicky, Billi and Amy evicted and protecting the worthless Ziggy. I will admit that the production team must take their share of the blame, along with the audience (for not evicting the fat old trout when they had the chance) but Carole was a mistake that we can only hope never gets repeated. Had she not been a part of the show, BB8 could well have turned out to be an above average series, warts and all.

I really liked BB8, mainly for Samanda  their were lovely and really funny and entertaining, just two decent people wanting to have fun in life.

I liked the rows too. BB8 wasn't bad at all, it had everything.
