why do people think davina is rubbish?

every year leading up to a big brother show there are rumours that davina will leave. on tibb, i have noticed that a lot of members do not like davina and think she should leave the show. i totally disagree with this and i love how she is. can anyone think of a suitable replacement for her if she were to leave after bb9?

I think some people would prefer her interview techniques to change, but to me Davina is a part of big brother if she went it would never be the same. I really miss Russell Brand on Big Mouth too, its not the same without him IN MY OPINION. :elephant:

davina defines big brother. she is the ONLY person that could ever host this program. yes sometimes her interviews are boring, but in my opinion that was only last year, which was a terrible series anyway.

if they get great housemates and amazing plots, then she will be great as well.

I think in the past few seasons, Davina has been taken granted for. If she ever left, BB would not be the same. I love her!

Davina genuinely enjoys the show so its good she has an interest in the show and we don't have a presenter who only turns up to read an autocue with no idea whats going on.

Her interviews in the past couple of years have been a bit crap, but people have to remember she isn't to blame. She doesn't write the script, shes just a dummy for the producers.

If Davina was to leave (which I wouldn't like to happen) and her replacement was announced, I could guarantee that many people would complain, even those who wanted her to quit, would want her to return. It happened on The X Factor with Kate, it happened on BBLB with Dermot.

her biased attitude and her poor interviewing techniques meens that not only should she not be on Big Brother but shouldnt even a interviewer in general but she is has been with big brother from the start and is am much part of the show as the BB eye or the house

Don't think she should leave, she's part of BB and has been since the show started. Don't like the way she acts at times though when she starts pulling stupid faces at the camera and constantly trying to be funny, can be quite cringeworthy to watch.

the problems she has is the interviewing is rushed but people cant put that down to her its the producer in hr ear telling her to shut the housemate up and move on
the whole over excited thing shows how much she enjoys the show showing its not just a job to her which i think is an element rarely found.... and yeah it does get irritating sometimes but i would be like that i think presenting a show i love

I've blamed her problems in recent years more on the format of the eviction shows than her talent - there is only so little you can do with reading phone numbers out in the middle of a baying mob.

IMO she is much better in the studio, and generally after every midweek studio-based special I find myself writing a post in praise of "Studio Davina". In the studio she can present direct to the viewer - the problem with her in the crowd is she has to fight them for attention, and often looks quite uncomfortable amongst them, which makes the viewer uncomfortable too.



However, although I think Davina has done a great job for BB I think both for her sake and the long term future of BB they need to part company sooner rather than later. Yes, if BB were to end after BB11 I'd rather Davina saw it through to the end, but if it goes on beyond then at some point she's got to be replaced - and as ageist as it is, the show needs a host of the same generation as the housemates, as Davina was in the first few years, not someone old enough to be the housemates mothers (as became the case last year).

I dont think she should be replaced, but maby have a younger co presenter doing some outside and davina in the studio but davina still doing what she loves (house tour, evictions, ect)

Just like the format Davina has changed and become careless and predictably boring with her interview style......

The whole show now is addicted to one form of bias or another.....Davina allows her personal feelings towards some housemates to become obvious. that is wrong and extremely bad interviewing. She needs to change just like the producers need to respect their own BB rules and not forget them when it's convenient.

Davina is the face of Big Brother and after 8 series any change made would inevitably cause a negative reaction toward her replacement. But, the fact remains many people, myself included, feel she's an awful presenter. I dont think that awful is too strong a word either, does anyone remember her chat show? I still cant get the image out of my head of her sitting on Kian from Westlifes knee. There in lies the problem, her constant attempts to be wacky have got on many peoples nerves. I also think her presenting skills and interview skills are limited to say the least. Her disastrous attempt to present Ken Bruces show on Radio 2 backs me up on this. In fact, I think the BBc received a record number of complaints about her stint on his radio show. I feel that any decent TV presenter should be reasonably comfortable on radio; Davina was terrible. Nuff said. The complaints say it all.

Davina is just as bad as all the wannabes that go in the house. She has no talent. She got to this high point in her career (its downhill from here) by doing any tv work possible, appearing lads mags flashing flesh, just doing anything to get publicity. Does this sound familiar to so many BB house mates you hate. It seems her skill is actually getting pregnant and not reading an auto q.

Get someone with talent like a comedian to present.

I don't think she's rubbish, I think she's brilliant. I think some of the things she comes out with are hilarious and it's good to see her interaction with the crowd on eviction nights. I really enjoy her interviews with the evicted housemates aswell.
