View Full Version : My Interesting Theory on This Year's Theme

Okay, now I could be wrong, but My mum and I were both discussing this year's big brother eye, and came up with an interesting theory.

As the eye is usually (but not always) linked with the theme, we were thinking that, as the eye is shattered into shards of glass, maybe certain items in the house may be broken (possible burgarlry - linking this with the theme?) and the house mates may be given the task of fixing them. As a reward for doing this, the prize fund could be increased? possible party? Eviction night cancelled? Maybe a new housemate or luxury hamper?
If this task is failed, maybe they might be put in a "prison"? A surprise or double eviction?

Can't think ov what the red fragment in the eye is about, though.

I would appreciate any comments, opinions or suggestions on this theory of ours.

I don't think the design of the eye would be focused around one task

But there's only ever been one theme, that was for BB5, "evil".

Good theory.

I just think there's a piece of red furniture in the house that means something.. maybe the Diary Chair is red.

There was no gold theme. There was a golden housemate because of the golden ticket. Nothing to do woth the eye or the rest of the series.

Gold eye, gold ticket, gold housemate, gold balls.....

I think that is kind of a theme if you ask me

And wasnt there a golden bed room? for the golden housemate

gold ticket, gold housemate, gold balls, golden bed room, the golden housemate were all for ONE task, NOT the series. There was no series theme.

This years Eye is based upon the red and black of the early 20th century Art fashion of Russian Constructivism.

Which as we all know the dictatorial USSR was very "Big Brother" in it's control of the people.

And early reports say it's going to be no holiday camp this year. Although I think they'll stop short of making them break rocks with a sledge hammer in the blazing sun. :)

BB5 was evil
BB6 sort of carried this Evil on but not as harsh
BB7 had a twisted theme.. not sure how it was carried out and the golden part of the golden task was because they linked it to the eye and diary room chair rather than the other way around.
BB8- the eye was based on peace because of the whole CBB5 scenario

I think the red and black represents the colour of a poppy so this ties in with the theme "war and order" but is this theme official where did it come from?

I like the big brother prison idea for punishment
Im not sure about the broken up items but who knows you could be right

The eye never really has been linked to the theme with the exception of BB5. These theories usually go no where...

... but what the heck - I've got one.

The red dash - one part of the eye standing out from the rest, one housemate standing out from the rest, one Head of House.

(though we've had the HoH rumours every year anyway.)

They were what people perceived them to be. The were not official themes bar BB5.
