I was just watching The Box, and the BB9 advert came on. This is real good, because loads of people watch the box, so it's a great potential for BB.

Thats good then. But they really should stop wasting money on lots of small channels and just spend a bundle for 30 secs on itv.

firstly, ITV will not advertise a channel 4 programme. secondly.the box is a young channel, much like their audience. in the last few series they have only advertised on their own channel, so clearly they have great expectations for this.

They can still advertise on Itv if they paid enough

That's good, trying to get the highest possible audience is the aim.

that would NEVER happen. ITV will NEVER advertise Channel 4's flagship programme for love or money!

If they paid a lot, then im sure ITV would advertise it. ITV would just have to put something small or something no one watches aggainst it.

The Box is still good though. I mean like it's the main music channel after MTV.

They've done it before.

If a channel approaches another network to advertise their show, they aren't allowed to refuse. There are some regulations, two being that the promotion must air within the block of ads and they cannot say the date and time.

The Hits is Channel 4 owned, but they have a stake in The Box and a couple of other music channels.

The Box, The Hits, Kiss, Smash Hits, Magic, Q and Kerrang are all owned by the same company thats why there all together like all the MTV's. TMF and VH1. If you look on the websites for most of them, they all advertise each other and say they are official partners. Just like to mention it!

Still nice to see big brother advertised on other channels tho.

Channel 4 has a 50% stake in the parent company of these channels, Box Television Limited. They bought it in July last year for £28million.

ITV would NEVER advertise shows of another channel. As far as The Box goes, this is good because its reaching out to its target audiences - The teenagers!

Anyone seen any billboards or anything this year?

ITV has done in the past, just as ITV has advertised on C4/Five/etc.

Not sure why so many of you think this is pure lunacy.:laugh2:
