Kitten has been causing a stir in the house
Big Brother contestant Kitten may face jail if she does not turn up in court next week over non-payment of fines.
The 24-year-old, whose real name in Kathryn Pinder, is due at Brighton Magistrates' Court next Wednesday.
While non-payment of fines is not a criminal offence, those who do not turn up to face the charge can be held in contempt of court and jailed.
Channel 4 said the producers of the reality TV show would do "whatever it takes to abide by the law".
A spokeswoman said: "The situation is that we have not been contacted by the courts or any legal authority. If we are legally obliged to do something, then we will.
Peace signs
"We have no idea at the moment what would happen, and we would take a view on it at the time."
Kitten has been in trouble with the show's producers after she daubed the show's set with peace signs, receiving a third and final formal warning about her behaviour.
On Thursday, Big Brother announced that one of the 12 contestants would be evicted because of her actions.

Kitten has had a difficult time coping with the environment of the house, which this year has been re--designed to make it more uncomfortable to live in.
The living areas are smaller, and there is only one bedroom, with not enough beds for each contestant.
The friction between the contestants has led to an increase in viewing figures, with 4.7 million viewers tuning in to Thursday's episode, up from 3.4 million on Saturday.
