...I dont think so. It appears they have just copied an act by 'Bond'

They're not really copying them, the pice is made for four people. Both acts just happen to be girls.
No but they're unique. Its not often we get a group like Scala who can take something like violins and propel them into the mainstream and make it popular. NO act is original, its how they interpret their material.
To say they are unoriginal and give a clip of another act is really clutching at straws.
And maybe George fans might be interested in this. If Arneldo thinks Escala were unoriginal because they copied another band, then George copied an advert. Its a very similar routine, albeit not in the same order but still.

I making reference to tha fact that the judges had said that Escala were original, when they appear to have copied Bond exactly.
You say George copied an advert? He was inspired by it. Also, if he did that routine, but not in the same order, like you say - then it isnt the same routine.

The Escala version of the song is different to the one in the video you provided and theres not really much you can do with music. If you think that is unoriginal then you have to accept that George was heavily inspired by that advert- even hanging off the lamp post and the rain bit at the end- therefore his isn't original either.

The dance routines are different. Also there is a difference between being inspired and being original. We all knew he was inspired by that advert. The song, and the performance was. The routine was his own.
Escala version of the song is exactly the same. I'm not saying it wasnt good, it was great. But I just find it funny that the judges have said it was original, when it seems they have copied Bond.

They use the same song, Palladio. The version in the song you used is different to Escala's version. The one in the clip is very 'europo' meets 'club' if you like (its hard to describe) but Escala played it out as a 'classy' piece lets say.
But if George was inspired, then that automatically doesn't make it original? I'm not saying its bad, because he wasn't and I suppose he deserved to win, but I just don't see how you can single out Escala for being original. I don't think original is what they meant, I think they meant unique.

George's preformace was inspired, his routine wasnt. His preformace was original.
The reason I'm singleing out Escala is bcause of the comments the judges made, I thought it was intresting that it appears they were wrong.
If something is inspired, you are essentially taking ideas. Therefore it isn't original. Something that is original is something you have thought of completely by yourself with no inspiration doing something that has never been done before, or anything similar. I'd say the only original acts out of the whole of the finalists were Signature and Strike.

I dont think Stike were original. Ive seen lot of acts like that, although Strike were the best I've seen of it.
I've never seen anything really like Strike but if you've seen something like them before then they aren't original either.
