Why do the contestants go on so much about the prize of performing on the royal variety show when we all know that every single one of them wants the £100,000 more. They don't even tell the viewer that there is also a prize of £100,000.

They mentioned it twice I think I remember it.

The idea is that these acts should want to win for place on the Royal Variety show, which is a massive privilege for someone who isn't an established artist. The £100,000 should therefore be seen as a bonus. I agree that it tends to be overlooked, which is why a really deserving act should get it.

[Stupid]

It just annoys me because we all know that every act would chose the £100,000 over the chance to appear at the Royal Variety Show, however they all say "it would be a dream come true".
