Following Davina's indications of the live task today, Big Brother has delivered the first part of the task... a large children's style party food collection. This party consists of lots of sugary food... which all of the housemates have taken to eating with much joy.
Big Brother has decided to tell them that it is a party and there is no catch at all... oh how little do they know
Now, I think it's time we start looking forward to the bit with the roundabout... especially now that paranoia begins, particularly with Victor's decleration of 'I feel mega paranoid now'.
I wonder what the task is all about? It could be something to do with not being sick. Im would be paranoid and all plus only eat some of it.

At present the housemates are preparing for the challenge by putting on the protective clothing, once they have done this, they are to remain in the bedroom until further notice.
Clothing so far consists of helmets, wrist pads, knee pads and elbow pads. Housemates are recommended to wear trainers for the task.

The housemates stand looking slightly confused as they are instructed by Big Brother to go into the garden, where they must not touch any of the equipment.
The 'roundabout' appears to be in the centre of the garden and is covered.
Housemates are currently being informed that the prize fund can decrease if they fail the task.
The first part of the challenge involves markers placed within the garden, numbered from 1 to 11. Housemates must now rate themselves from 1 to 11 on the basis of their intelligence. With 1 being the most intelligent.

Stuart placed himself as the most intelligent, and was then instructed to go the bench. One of the remaining housemates was instructed to read the second envelope of instructions.
For this part, they are to rate themselves in terms of personal strength.
Jason was ranked as the most strong housemate, and then made to go to the bench alongside Stuart.

Envelope three instructs them to remove the cover from the roundabout, all of the remaining 9 housemates have to sit upon the roundabout.
The strongest housemate is now to rotate the roundabout at a constant 15RPM.
The most intelligent then must go to the diary room and answer 9 questions. For each question answered correctly, one person is allowed to dismount the roundabout and one thousand pounds is kept in the prize fund. The final question is worth two thousand pounds.
For each question answered incorrectly, money is lost and no housemate is allowed to dismount the roundabout.

They are indeed. I'm waiting for someone to insult her.
The live feed is very funny at the moment, a number of housemates, *cough* shell *cough*, are curled up in pain groaning... I guess they reap what they sow... or in this case, throw up the sugar they eat.

If prisoners of war in Iraq were treated in such a way, there would be an additional outcry to the abuses already done out there:nono:
This kind of treatment would be banned under the Geneva convention.
Is it right to deliberately make someone ill, for entertainment purposes.
Am I the only one here that questions this? Why do people like to inflict suffering?
C4/Endemol seem to care very little what lines they leap over in order to chase ratings:nono:
I actually agree with you on this one Sticks, I thought the whole thing was tasteless.

Any thoughts on further action against C4/Endemol. One hates to think that they are getting away with this. To stop watching will not achieve anything, save remove ones right to hold them to account.

Exactly James, anyone that says "Endemol's fault!" is forgetting about people's right to choose, yes, the money is in it... but if everyone's really true about saying they don't care about it...
Yes that is true, but it doesn't make it something I want to watch. I don't particularly want to see the housemates throwing up and doing revolting things and as much as I like this years bunch (apart from Michelle) the more they do of this sort of thing the less I'll be watching.

Poor housemates, I'd've hated to be on that roundabout. I dunno, I'm half thinking that it was entertaining to start with, but the other half of me says it was a bit TOO cruel. I don't think I want to see them being put through cruel tasks, to be honest with you.

What I don't understand is why they got all the blokes off the roundabout first. Jason seemed to have no problems keeping the required rpm in place, and therefore surely it would have been kinder to get some of the girls off?!
I hadn't thought of that, but you're right it does seem off that he got all the guys off and left the girls on there.

Suppose it's all part of the eating insects and and throwing up thing, trouble is the more they show of this thing the more indifferent we become to it. Sticks has a point if this was done to prisoners of war to get them to talk there would be outrage. But this is being done to wanabee's so the do gooders couldn't care less. Where's the outrage in the papers, there isnt any, where's the morals of the thing there arn't any. It seems we are starting to go down the nick as civilised human beings. What will be next live gladiators to become indifferent to. :conf: Is it a good thing to use the word evil, when being evil is about doing horrible things to people and animals for the fun of it. There's a lot of thinking and questions to be asked about this years bb I'm afraid. :conf: Sorry to the people who are enjoying it, maybe I'm getting old.
