I think this is a good idea
I visit a Silent Hill forum (powered by Vbulletin forum)
Which has member groups for people to make

So far they have about 10

I used to use these on my vBulletin forum but I'm not sure whether there are any available with XMB. I hope there are cause there great.

Hmm. I am not to sure on this.

People may feel left out if they are not involved in a group.
Plus i dont think it qould work with thte forum.
But thats jusy my opinion...
