How do you change a long link into a small link?

How do I change a website link into a small link for example,
www.thisisbigbrother.com/forum
into
link
Its probably really a basic thing to know:blush2:

will create
Home Page of PHP (http://www.php.net)

remove both *

remove * and where it says home page of PHP you put your title :thumbs:
