Deos anyone yet have the ratings for thge first BB Highlight show last night on C4! x :-)

no however i have disoved somethig intresting:

viewing figures are not taken from everyones tv, but from a sample of 52,500 people , who have black boxes hooked up to their tv's, show they record howmany of their sample watches it and then proportionilises it to the tv owning people of britian. Hmmm....

There is a ratings thread
and I don't like how they calculate the ratings, I wont believe them until the whole country is tested
I think programs like Big Brother get amore viewers that reported.

I think I agree with you there... almost everybody I knew watched it. :O

I'm preparing myself not to be disappointed if its not too high... Ratings aren't what's important... I just wish they didn't bother me so much, haha.

I hope they are too because so far tehy deserve good ratings. But come to think of it. The first HL of BB5 didnt do well at all and look how that turned out. So even if the ratings are bad for yesterday, it takes about 2 weeks for the ratings to settle at a overall figure.

I think the producers and C4 don't care as much about ratings this year.
BB9 is about getting interest in the show, getting people back and sustaining ratings
BB10 is where ratings will be on the increase as long as BB9 is a success

C4 care. Lower ratings = less money.

They do care but this year is more about winning viewers back than gaining new viewers and getting the really high ratings.
if BB9 is a success BB10 will be expected to gain new viewers and be more of a success in terms of ratings.
