View Full Version : The Argument - Reactions

Having watched the argument again I noticed a few things.
I actually think that Sylvia's reaction was just about acceptable given the circumstances. However, Alexandra then had to chip in with her whole spiel about respect and made the situation 100x worse than it actually was.
I think that Sylvia was probably borderline acceptable in her reaction, but Alex was bang out of order.
I also felt really sorry for Michael when he was trying to explain herself in the garden, and Alex just talked over him - how can she expect anything if she won't listen.
She really is a cow, and I liked her when she went in but I do not at all anymore.
I think her time is limited.
What do you think about their reactions?

Anybody else feel a twinge of guilt on behalf of humanity as a whole after those last 4-5 minuets of Big Brother?
I dont see how you can blast a man for his whacky sense of humor and use of the word '****' only to tell him 'I dont give a ****' three of four times over and tell him he has no respect for himself as he stares blankly into a two way mirror.
Get her out!

if a white person had spoke to alex the way she spoke to mikey they would have been kicked out for bullying and racism

Very very true. Emily got thrown off for saying ******, and Alex has been aggressive and almost violent and nothing has happened - she wasn't even told to calm down. As i said, i think Sylvia is possibly excusable, but Alex was bang out of order and shouldn't be allowed to get away with it. her time is ticking.

I was proper pissed off with her when she was demanding respect and then didn't give any to mikey and just repeated '****' and talked over him! Who the hell does she think she is!

I think Sylvia was right and her reactions was how most peoples would have been, you don't want that dirty blind creep putting your underwear on
But Alex there was no need for her to get involved at all

Reactions:
Sylvia - over the top, but ok at least she had a right blah blah,
Alex - saw an opportunity for an argument, and guaranteed airtime, just shows what a stupid hate filled little bitch she is.
Mickey - did nothing at all wrong, probably thought he was telling Alex to ***** off...and rightly so
Mario - stepped in when Alex started off on her rant about "RespeC" (really wish people would learn to talk in real English)
and was trying to explain what had happened

Wo! Does it make you a dirty freak when you have a disability? Come on now!
He did accidently lose his sight whilst having an operation, I'd be relly peed off about that but I'd be even more peed off if it caused people to think I was suddenly a "dirty freak"
If Dale had put the underwear on, I'll bet any money they would have laughed about it.
Alexandra wants to be the leader of the pack and wants to make sure she gets rid of anyone she doesn't want in it, by making them look bad.
When the time comes get her out.
I am also sick of people using the word "RESPECT" continually. It's become so fashionable. earn it girl and you may get some.

Very very true. Emily got thrown off for saying ni**er, and Alex has been aggressive and almost violent and nothing has happened - she wasn't even told to calm down. As i said, i think Sylvia is possibly excusable, but Alex was bang out of order and shouldn't be allowed to get away with it. her time is ticking.
But she was in the right: someone had to open its mouth to tell Michael he is acting like a moron. She did because she had the balls to do it.
And I hope Michael understood because 13 weeks with him...I'm gonna crash my computer !

I think Mario and Dennis should have stopped him from putting them on and i think Sylvia should have just laughed at him rather than have a go at him

Sylvia should have just laughed it off, and just said something like "I'm not wearing those again!"
Alex, should have kept her nose out, her rant at Mikey was totally OTT and unecessary. As others have said she screams about being repsected, but then didn't show anyone else any respect (silent 'T'). I predict she will be out fairly soon.

Those girls were just bugged that they missed out on the hen party, especially Alex. She was not a happy bunny... in fact she wasn't a bunny at all coz she 'aint gonna dis-respec myself by puttin on the bunny outfit'?!
Why is she there is she isn't gonna take part and do what BigB throws at her?!?!?

I found it very uncomfortable to watch the way alex went on with mikey in the garden was shocking!. I Cant believe nobody stood up for him !!!

I think Alex was way out of order and I'm shocked that no1 stuck up for Michael in the garden when she started having a go at him again. I don't personally think Michael did anything wrong, he didn't know whos knickers they were and he was only having a laugh. It had nothing to do with Alex she just got herself involved when Slyvia was shouting at Michael...he should have told her to keep her nose out. What a bitch!!!

I think that Syliva had every right to create about someone wearing her underwear, I would have freaked as well. However the whole situation was made very uncomfortable by Alex who felt the need to jump in to have a good whinge. I think she could have said her bit and left it at that rather than go on about it later without any intention of making her peace with Mikey.

I agree with all of that. I feel Sylvia would have been understood had she reacted the way Alex did. But the fact Alex jumped in unfounded made the focus stray away from the people in focus - Sylvia and Mikey.

Alex was way over the top. Mikey was trying to tell his side of the story and she would not let him talk.
I hope mikey has a wank on her knickers.
Get the bitch out.

Unless Alex makes a comment about Mikey being one of the three blind mice, none of what you're saying applies.
Yes, Mikey did do something wrong. Yes, he does get on my nerves. Yes, she just took it to the extreme, and didn't know when to stop.
Mikey gets a pass on this one because he tried to explain it, and the others are being too dramatic and ridiculous.

I think Alex was out of order.. would she have reacted the same way if Sylvia had found it funny? I though Sylvia slightly overreacted.. but Alex just made a mountain from a molehill.
I am not a mikey fan.. but I did feel sorry for him, especially for someone who goes on about respect, talking over someone when she fully had her say.

Why is it that the young black girls that go into BB always have a chip on their shoulder, always argumentative, are always butt ugly but think they are gods gift. GET ALEX OUT!!!

No she never, someone on here called him it ^^.
As for the argument, I think Alex had every right to say what she did. At the end of the day, Mikey had no idea who's knickers he was picking up but he didn't care, and even after being confronted he was even more disrespectful by throwing them back in the bath ... it shows he has no respect for other people's things, especially by just throwing them back in the bath with a daft grin on his face. It was the principle at the end of the day, what he did was wrong, disrespectful and pretty disgusting, and Alex voiced that, and rightly so, as like I said, they could have well been hers.

Oh but c mon who have been the worst house mates in the last 2 years IMO Charlie and so far this Alex girl, the night they had that argument the only reason Alex butted her nose in is because she wanted to stick up for her fellow "Black sister" if it had of been Stephs knickers that Mikey put on do you really think Alex would of stuck up for Steph, i dont think so. As somebody mentioned in a previous post if Mikey was black and Alex and Sylvia were white BB would of treated it as bullying and maybe racist, the double standards in this country are sickening, the white race is being sold out.

I think somebody's going slightly OTT with the whole race thing now.
Charley had more fights than anyone last year. Did she not have an argument, her vs Chanelle, Ziggy and Billi? 3 of them vs the black girl ... why weren't that treated as racist?
Don't get me wrong, the fact it's 'acceptable' for black people to call each other ******* etc annoys the **** out of me, yet it's completely different when white people do, but that's not really the point, and I don't see why you're bringing it up when it's about knickers and not skin colour.

i hate that.
it doesnt make you a dirty freak because you have a disabilty
but having the disabilty doesnt STOP you being a dirty freak
darnell has it right he doesnt milk it he can barely see either
mikey tries to use it to his advantage
i totally backed sylvia and alexandra
its about time everyoen stopped giving him the special treatment
yer he's blind, help him out a bit like a nice human being should
but he's no better than anyone else
and no one else is any better than him
that's the bottom line
if this argument was with any other housemate the public response would be so different
i hate political correctness it's stupid
get him out

I couldnt believe what a hypocrite she was, saying he was disrespectful when she was talking to him like he wasnt even there. She is so rude and it wasn't even any of her business. I think they both overreacted so much, if it was an expensive piece of clothing-fine but it was only a pair of knickers and you could see they were all a bit drunk.
Alex shouldnt be talking to anyone like that, even if they are or are not disabled.
I'm ashamed that she comes from around the area I work in.
