Well he is and I think people are playing the blind card with him and using it to excuse behaviour.
He is one of the most creepiest housemates ever to be in that house and I have a feeling he's here to stay because the housemates and the voting public won't be able to see past his disability and feel sorry for him.
I think he's a nasty piece of work and he knows exactly what he's doing.

He's vile. Disgusting, dirty and lacks even basic manners. I'm sick of him being rude and obscene just cos he feels like it.
He called it 'disgusting' when the girls didn't dress up as bunny's, and was acting weirdly about it - as if they should feel obliged to sexualise themselves for him.
Secondly, he lacks so many manners. When he could hear Sylvia was upset and offended, he continued to smile and laugh at her.

This reminds me of an experiment a while ago, a normal person tried to push in the line of a taxi line to try and go to the hospital because he wasnt well. No one let him past.
Whereas a wheelchair person went to get in the que and tried pushing and people let him through without an explanation or anything.
People in this world think that if someone has a disability they should be treated differently, not at all, people in wheelchairs should have to wait like everyone else and people blind shouldnt get let off from being stupid and putting on a thong and saying that they didnt know who's it was.

I have to admit, whenever i watch him i do feel really sorry for him, however i dont think he should be treated any differently to any other housemate. I did think he was a bit creepy tonight but whenever i do think like that i always feel bad :conf2: x

I agree 110% And before someone goes against you saying you're disable-ist. I'm a carer for a wheelchair bound paralysed parent, and would not expect (and neither would she) to be treated differently. It's patronising, and not needed.
It's unfortunate that some people use the easy option and expect better treatment when having a disability.

I think it's the Mikey bashers that are so focused on him being blind and the sympathy it MIGHT inspire...
personally, I've tried my hardest to remove the fact that Mikey's blind from my mind, and judging objectively he's just nice guy who's a bit eccentric. He hasn't done anything malicious and he TRIED to apologize for offending Sylvia, something I don't think she really even deserved.

Mickey is no stranger than anyone else in there, yes he has a disability, should that mean he gets let off for doing wrong things...no...it doesn't

What did Sylvia do wrong? Ignore Alexs actions, that was nothing to do with Sylvia.

Oh do read up, please. No-one is supporting Alex, she had nothing to do with the argument and Sylvia didn't ask her to join in. Mikey is an eccentric character. A bit of a fetishist. He even said prior to Big Brother he likes to make people laugh. Its what he does.

Yes she would have. But Sylvia was offended, and people are different - there he should've respected that and apologised at the time rather than in retrospect.
Also, when he threw her pants back in the hot tub he said something about a "dirty garment" (I'm not sure of the exact quote).

He's disgusting, vile, and a downright creep. He is completely oblivious to his own crude manners and the way he acts towards people is dreadful. He expects the girls to dress up sexy for him. Probably using the excuse that he is blind. I really don't like him to be perfectly and brutally honest.

I really don't think the issue is with the initial act.
Personally, the initial act was bad enough for me. Just because some people wouldn't have been offended doesn't mean everyone else needs to 'lighten up'. The fact she WAS offended, shows it was offensive to her.
Secondly, like I said - the initial act was bad, but excusable as a misunderstanding/misreading of the situation. But when Sylvia showed she was offended (not by shouting, simply by saying "I'm so offended") he continues to taunt her about it. This, is what was worse... it was the way he was swearing at her and mocking her because of it.
And then people are saying he later didn't have a chance to apologise. Why didn't he do it right there and then when he could clearly hear she was offended by it?

they are strangers...just because they've been in a house doesn't make them best of friends.

Well if she was offended, she should've given him a chance to apologize for his actions instead of saying "stop right there" before he could finish.

I agree. But I would've reacted in exactly the same way as I have.
I think a guy with 20/20 vision would have got even more flack for it, but probably not from Sylvia herself - because she's very shallow (there is no denying).

Mikey got more than enough flak for his actions, IMO. Being drunk isn't the perfect defense, but it is a defense. Another defense might be that Mikey is eccentric, or that Mikey may not be used to being around such conservative people.

oh and that kayne west guy attacked me first. Go read back. So to me it seems if sombody does not like your view then can bully you? I need to talk to admin coz to me there are some that can bully people, tell them there talking crap etc etc and get away with it. I was defending myself and i have a right to write my views about big brother. Admin needs to stop these bullies that go around and do what they done to me and then turn it around like im at fault. So its there way or the highway? What kind of place is this?

If somebody doesn't agree with you then there allowed to disagree with you they have a right to, and about people talking crap was a reference to people spamming and making posts that have no relevance to the thread or Big Brother. If they dont like my views then thats fine but they dont have to swear and get away with it coz they have been here longer than me. What i do is defend myself and that makes me the bad guy? Ok the spam part myfault but i am new to this due to being on other sites more. ...well I'm going to comment on the original subject.
I just think that Mikey is a bit weird, like every other BB house mate. Not only has he got the crazy personality (as we saw with the Bunny outfit) but he's got a disability which obviously gives him a card to play when being bullied.
I don't want housemates to not nominate him due to the fact that he's blind, I hope they treat him like any other housemate. Either way or not, you should know not to put on someone's knickers. The way that he responded, I believe, was disrespectful. He can believe that he is practically invincible and can get away without consequences for his actions. Even though I can't stand Alexandra, I do believe that she was in the right for standing up to him...but she shouldn't lash out like that every time.

As for diasbled people wanting sympathy! You'll find most of them proud and independent and don't want a fuss. It's the people on the other side that make it more noticible.

You can remove your karma, btw. It's in your options. Then you can focus on airing/reading views rather than focussing on whether people are lowering it.

People who are blind doesn't mean there eyes are closed, because blind people's eyes are open, that's why some choose to wear sunglasses to cover them as they don't want others to see.

No, he deserved it. Whatever if the knickers were there or not, you do not take it and wear it. I mean it's common sense, your parents teach you that when you are a child.
This guy is a perv and doesn't have any manners to live in a group. No matter if he is blind or not, you can recognize what knickers are, you can recognize objects, that's not an excuse.
We don't judge him because he's blind, we don't mind that because he doesn't want us too but we judge him on his personality: not all blind people are like him and he should be ashamed to represent all blind people.
