Starting to feel sorry for him

Recently I have started to feel sorry for Michael, which is what I didn't want to happen. I feel sorry for him. especially last night when i started crying.

I really dont want to start to sympathise with him though, as I dont want him to get sympathy votes.

Has anyone else secrety started to feel sorry for him?

Omg im so glad someone else agrees!! I promised myself i would not feel sorry for him because he was a bit rude to Sylvia. But after watching last nights show and seeing him cry like that and the way he threw his confetti the wronge way, it made me feel so bad for him. I just wanted to go and give him a hug! :sad: x

I think it's unfair that people are making judgements about something we cannot possibly have knowledge about. I don't think he's pervy in the sense that I find him harmless, and I hardly think stupid things he says are for sexual gratification. As I might have mentioned in a different thread, sometimes I feel as if he tries to compensate for what he thinks is holding him back by being as 'outrageous' as he thinks he can get away with. With the Sylvia situation, yes he could've handled the way he acted better, but I'd put that down to the fact that he didn't know how to deal with it. And, as I'm sure I might have said before, that must be the case for many people who aren't all that streetwise - not just Mikey.

Also, I don't want this to sound patronising, but I don't think he's the sort to want to play a 'blind card' in order to put attention onto himself. If anything, he seems to distance away from the centre of attention but also doesn't want to feel left out. I like him for this reason, and I also just seem to laugh every time he comes on the screen - but I don't think that's because I'm cruel or anything.

I don't think he'll be getting the 'sympathy votes' which people seem to be holding against him. He'll have his experience for the few weeks he's there, and then disappear - that's it.

I didnt feel sorry for him at all until some people on the forum were attacking him for no reason and being totally OTT about him. Thats when i started to feel sorry for him and thin some of you were being unfair in your comments. He's not a perv, nor a creep. :thumbs:

Ok, i seriously dont think hes a perv. Although i must admit he did kind of go abit far with Sylvia's knicker but other things he has said arent that bad, If it had been Rex or Dale who were saying the things Micheal said they would just be considered as 'lads'. I have totally changed my opinion of him, i still wont vote for him because i feel sorry for him but he has grown on me alot x

I admitted earlier what I think these problems are.

But, as I said, he could have definitely handled the situation better. However I don't think he did it with creepy intentions in mind.

Mikey is not playing the blind card AT ALL! What would make you even think that? He never talks about being blind except when asked, and has never taken offense even when other housemates are insensitive to him. It seems like a lot of people on this site don't like him because he is blind just to prove to themselves that they're not politically correct or whatever.
