View Full Version : Now I'm angry
All this rubbish being talked on this forum about Stuart and Michelle is beginning to get on my nerves; you would think that the girl was forcing him into bed. The man is capable of making his own decisions about what he wants to do including getting into bed with Michelle.
But the minute the man does get into bed with Michelle its pore stu he doesn't know what he's doing, it's all her fault, get her out of the house because he has to be saved from her.
Why are young good looking and flirtatious women always branded predators out to manipulate all the men of the house, you would think that a sexually empowered woman would be looked up to particularly by the women on this and other forums and not blamed for what both she and the man decided to do. To see such sexism on these forums directed at Michelle particularly from other women is really disgusting.
There rant over!

Glad that made you feel better but as you are entitled to an opinion so are we. I dont think that anyone is being sexist I think it is more intense dislike. She is coarse and common it is nothing to do with how she looks, she is pretty I wouldnt say she isnt but prettiness does not mean that she is an endearing person.
Me personally I cant stand her and will say it when and as I feel like it as I am sure you will defend her as and when you feel like it

They both make the decision to get in bed and have a bit of a grope. It's her fault and not his, and you don't think that's sexist?

I think they are both to blame but I didn't really like Michelle from the start,I actually thought Stuart was ok but to be honest I don't like him either:thumbs:
I think a few people here disliked Michelle before anything happened with Stuart:thumbs:
I gave her a chance but to be honest the reason I don't like her is because she does give people evil looks and doesn't mix with half of the people in the house and not because of what she is or isn't doing with Staurt.

I don't think one can blame Stuart too much, because, like most men, he has the disadvantage of spending his life strapped to the village idiot. (I forget whose line hat was, but it strikes me as all too true...!)
He may be in Team Handsome, but aof course he is flattered and he is at the age when boys (and that is what he is) are utterly flooded with testosterone. He also enjoys, to a certain extent, the female protector, grooming role that Michelle plays. All boys and men like to be coddled after all.
He may become uneasy ultimately if he feels he is being side-lined by the others, because he wants to win. Therein could lie the rub (no smutty pun intended).
Michelle is VERY needy. She counts her worth in her ability to pull the bloke who she percieves as the most attractive. Her body image is all she is really conscious of. She has a fixed, blank expression. I think she is going for 'inscrutable' but actually appears waxwork like. She is possessive, unimaginative and I think ambitious to gain publicity to the max. Let's face it, the rash of HEAT wannabe magazines will be happy to oblige when she comes out, and if she goes along with the wanton sexy image when she comes ot, the world is potentially her oyster.
No, I'm not being sexist. I really liked and admired Helen when she practically threw herself at Paul because she was so utterly open, honest and transparent. She liked him, and went for him. He was more mature and controlled than Stuart, and protected both of them in his behaviour in the house.
There is, as Anne Widdecombe said of Michael Howard, something of the night about Michelle. I just can't help but see Stuart as a hapless and helpless plaything in her clutches.
I am pretty sure that if Mr Wonderful mark2 was brought in to replace Kitten, was equally malleable and proved to be a success with all the girls, Michelle would miraculously get over her Stuart infatuation and move on.
I'm sure Stuart will survive the encounter and I can't quite visualise her being the girl whom he takes home to Mummy.
They are serving each others purpose well at the moment, but as soon as either of them sense they are being disadvantaged, the house will see them distancing themselves PDQ.
IMHO!!:flower:

Well Dog if you think I am being sexist so be it I really couldnt care a less I will say what I want about whome ever I want. When they go into the house they invite people to takl about them, they invite us to pick them to pieces, they invite criticism, and they invite compliments just I cant think of any compliments that would possibly apply to Michelle
Come on ! its acted and set up to get viewers. Thats the way TV works
They are both responsible for what happend, no one is to blame because they have done nothing wrong. But that's not what people on this forum and others are suggesting. They are saying that Michelle is to blame and that's sexist.

That is not sexist. Psychologically speaking Michelle is almost identical to the bunny boiler from Fatal Attraction. She's literally obsessed to the point of psychotic jealousy. OK, so that's a bit of an exageration, but everything about what she is doing stinks of manipulation and leading. Stuart is an easy target for someone like Michelle, the self-confessed sex addict, to take into her stride and use for her needs.
That's not sexist, it's the facts - if you don't like it, well, it's an opinion from a psychology student, we're all entitled to think what we like.

I agree she is very manipulative, tell me that if you were in a house with a few people and one of them paid the amount of attention to you as she does to him that you wouldnt go along with things even if it wasnt necessarily what you had planned.
The comments being made are not sexist at all they are opinions, like I said they invited these opinions by agreeing to take part in the show

The thing about Michelle is - in my opinion - she probably knows the way she is behaving won't make her popular, both outwith and in the house (apart from Stu obviously).
I think she knew she was going to do this before she went into the house. She's just after the tabloid attention and money for when she leaves.

Look I'm not obsessed with Michelle in any way; I just like her just the same as I like Emma and Shell.
I am just tired of seeing posters on the internet slagging off women for doing exactly the same as the men do. That was the meaning of my original post and I posted it because I hate discrimination of any kind.
I'm not saying that people are not entitled to there opinions because I believe in freedom of speech, but when there opinions descend into sexism and verbal abuse and appear to be provoked by petty jealousy, then the people with the opinions make them selves look very foolish indeed.

I'm not a Michelle fan, but I do know what you mean by this DOG, it's something prevalent throughout our whole society where men are somehow allowed to be sexual predators and are looked up to by their mates if they are, whereas women aren't supposed to act like this, we're supposed to be all coy and girly and wait for men to chase us.
This being said, I still think Michelle is showing herself up as a complete slapper in the way she is acting, but you are right that Stu is no innocent in this, he's being a typical young guy and enjoying something offered to him on a plate. Though I think he is becoming more uncomfortable about this but hasn't workeed out how to extricate himself from the situation yet.
One thing I will say is that I think that if one of the lads was being as openly predatory around the girls they would still be getting a slagging on on the forums. Yes, it is more acceptable in society and there would be some likeminded adolescents who would be shouting at the tv telling him to 'go for it', but I think most people would be calling him a slimy creep and a lech and it would be doing him no favours either.

DOG. Well done for standing your ground. I find it strange that it is ok to slang Mischelle off because of her "Sexuality" while it remains bang out of order to slang off Gay's Lesbiens,Transexuals etc.
Slang any of them off and the political correctness brigade will come down on you like a ton of bricks and rightly so.
But it all seem justified because Mischelle is a highly sexed individual she has to be branded a slag or slapper and so on.
She has her right to her own type of sexuality as much as the others do. Without being labelled as something nasty and different. Just like it was years ago with gays.....
Anyone who really believes in a "FAIR AND HONEST" society would not sit themselves on a pearch and look down at others whoe's sexual nature is different to others......
Yes. it's ok to dislike anyone you wish and say so. I don't think it's ok to sit in judgment based on there sexual being.
That's my oppinion take it or leave it I know you will.

Hi Bananarama,
I am more than capable of holding an intellectual debate but quite frankly I dont want to. This is what I do for fun, I come online chat with my pals and generally have a laugh. After all in the job I do the last thing I want to do is to come here and become all serious. No I stil do not agree that we have been sexist about Michelle but that is something that we will have to agree to disagree on.
Dog tried to provoke something from the minute he typed his first post, he was out there and to be honest I respect that, we all have our opinions and to be able to express them is great but every time someone says or writes something that I can see or hear then as far as I am concerned, they have then invited the opinions of others.
Lets put this baby to bed, we are not going to agree so there is no point in arguing about it is there, we all have opinions and are all equally entitled to have them, lets face it life would be very dull if we all thought the same and conformed to the norm :elephant:

In Big Brother it's usual for viewers to criticise housemates in whichever ways they see fit.
If it is ok for housemates to be picked apart on the grounds that they are, say, being boring, false or too loud then it is surely ok to criticise one for being a slapper.

Branding someone because of their sexual activities is sexual discrimination which would be condemned if done against gays and so on. So why the double standards when it comes to females who choose a liberated sexual life style. If Mishelle is a so called slapper then what does that make Stuart who is just as up for it or Jason who apparently boasts of some 250 conquests of both male and female. I actually feel quite protective over Michelle at the moment and i'll tell you my reason why. Yesterday I saw her talking to the Loch 'NESS' monster(Vanessa), and she was saying how when she was a size 18 she wasn't confident at all and she didn't have a friend in the world and she didn't used to go out because she thought people would laugh at her because of her size. This all struck a chord with me because I was big and the moment I started losing weight it was like a weight off of my shoulders(literally!!). I started to feel attractive and I actually thought that a guy could fancy me for the first time ever. I sense that Michelle is going through a similar phase at the moment and that's my reason for wanting to cut the girl some slack. The fact that Stu(who is beautiful by the way), is showing an interest in 'someone like her' is I suspect a really momentous moment in her life. It sounds like she's lived through hell surely we shouldn't begrudge her this moment. Good on you Michelle xx:hello:

I watched the opening show again today and picked up on the same thing as you did about her size in the past.
From being a shy overweight girl she has sorted herself but the pendlum has perhaps swung too far in the opposite direction and her sexy life style and self confidence that is not at all strong is making her unpopular with those with a prim and proper mind set...
I hope the public warm to her better than thus far because I don't think she is at all that emotionally strong.
After watching tonights show I think both Stuart and Mischelle were auditioning for a part in a porn movie..:devil:

Thats a fair point.......But when you think of how far actors go in simulated sex scenes in films and TV in front of millions and don't get called slags for doing it. That's why I think Mischell is getting unfairly trashed. What she and he did or what she and he may do may make her and him look as though both are degrading themselves on TV but that does not make either one of them an evil villain that deserves the trashing she in particular (Because she is a girl) is getting.

Hi Bananrama
When I finish the course I am currently studying maybe I can help out with your therapy lol - if not I will be more than prepared to make a donation to your save the mind foundation lol.
I really do understand where you guys are coming from with the weight issue - in January last year I was a size 26 and since then have lost a tremendous amount of weight ( ask hells I am sure he will confirm that one ) yes it does imrpove your confidence and increases your feelings of desireability however we are all responsible for our own actions and if she is from a pretty quiet family she has to be totally aware of how her behaviour will affect them. Everyone needs to have some level of responsibility for other people, every time we each do something it impacts on the life of others and I dont think she is keeping that in mind at all.
To be honest though getting down to the nittiy gritty I dont dislike her because of the sex thing, it is the fact that she puts herself across as being so common, she has a sly look about her. I know I sound shallow but hey what the hell lol
