bb9 has been on for a week and people are complaining...about the smallest things possible
"Ofcom, the broadcasting watchdog, said it had received 120 complaints from viewers since the ninth series of the Channel 4 reality show started last Thursday.
Most viewers contacted the watchdog about bad language and bullying, with others complaining about scenes in which one contestant took her clothes off and jumped in the pool."
fair enough complaining about bullying...but SWEARING?! there has always been swearing and its always on after 9!...sorry but this annoyed me a little bit

There's nothing wrong with swearing or nudity after 9pm.
And where's this "bullying"?

Becky only took her top of and this was at 10.45 at night, I'm sure children were asleep at that time and you only have to turn over the front cover of the Sun to see the same thing at any time of the day.
People who write to Ofcom really get on my nerves.

its pathetic... its a TV show and people knew from the start what its like and that Big Brother makes up the rules! why watch it to complain???

Pathetic.. these people have no lives really for taking the time to complain... luckily if this is what they complained about it will be widely dismissed by Ofcom so it will all be ok

There has always been swearing on BB and nobody has ever complained, and as for the nudity it was shown at around 10:45pm, how late do you want it to be? There has also been nudity before and it's been shown before 10pm.
I think some people just sit there and write down all the little things that they can complain about, hoping for attention or for BB to get cancelled. :rolleyes:

I think Ofcom most double as a suicide hotline. These sad , proletarian cretins that complain have surely given up on life.

Why does Britain even allow ofcom? It's such a fascist concept. People complain about everything. Bullying? What, are these people a parent as well? These people watch too much television in my opinion. :joker:

This is coming from the anti- BB Brigade hoping it will get cancelled due to large amount of complaints.
I am not against those whom exercise their rights to comp[lain as long as it is totally justified swearing is and everyday occurance and if totally out of context or used overtly aggressively then yes can be offending.
Also what is wrong with admiring the human body after 10 PM !!! Could of been worse - could have been Luke in the buff!!! *shudders*

its all the BB-Haters secretly watching bb, finding things to complain about. I mean, SWEARING! pratically every single show on telly has swearing in. As for the nudity bit, so what? It's not as if it's never happened before and it was aver 10pm, how late do they want it to be?. It's not as if nobody has seen what "Bits" look like.
Anyway, although there might have been a tincy bit of bullying, so what? Michael hasn't said anything to Big Brother as far as I am aware, so it's OK. Right? The whole point of Big Brother is to be observed 24/7 and by not showing highlights, it beats the whole point of the show.
In my opinion showing bullying or bad language is not a bad thing. It reflects the stereotypicalness of people today and a typical life in Britain. It shows what things have become like to live in Britain and see how people from all different backgrounds people cope with living with each other. It is a show that sort of reflects how things are in real life.
It's Big Brother not the tweenies.Some people seriously need to HTFU.

fair enough complaining about bullying...but SWEARING?! there has always been swearing and its always on after 9!...sorry but this annoyed me a little bit
what difference does it make? it was after the watershed so they can't complain about nudity or language, especially as there was a warning from the c4 voiceover women before hand. and there was no bullying.

Big Brother has always been full of swearing, nudity and arguments thats why we love it!!
I think since the last time that ofcom recieved so many complaints and BB got into a lot of trouble for it, then people just think they can complain abut anything they they personally disagree with.
They should join tibb and air their views on here, not complain to ofcom :thumbs:
