Not to sound unfair to any new members. You all need a chance.

But what has happened to TIBB?

I'm seeing numerous same threads over and over, and then i'm seeing conversations leading to more arguing.

I know BB has started and all...but it wasn't like this last year.

TIBB isn't the same no more. Which is why i don't come on as much as i did.

It has been getting annoying, but I am just reporting any cloned threads now!

Yeah I know what you mean, it's like anyone has the common sense to not repeat the same thread! whether you're new or not!

The big issue is that this forum has become a shambles recently. Yes, there may of been tons of threads like this before, but it's obviously not got through.

There are lots of cloned threads and things, and more arguments, (i havnt seenany since i came back). But i don;t think thats a good enough reason not to come on as much.

Can't you? It's not the same. I'm sick of pointless cloned discussions. When i come on, i'll see a thread which has been repeated countless times. I'll think "Oh my god....this forum is getting annoying now".

It's not like me to speak this way about TIBB. But thats the way it has become.

The site always gets bigger and bigger with more members, so lots of threads is going to be common. I agree though - I wish people would just post in threads they're seeing instead of creating tonnes of new ones. Try not to let it put you off too much though - we need older members too.

It was much calmer last year. Suddenly it feels like a WHOLE other forum has registered and is causing havoc.

Hahaha i think its always like that. New members create new threads to getnoticed, but most are clonded. Old members despise it,and all old members are like a big group themselves. So yehh i agree its "old vs. new".

And arguments are always bound to happen, but that usually dies down too.

"Old vs New" ... don't sound so pathetic, I'd hate to be put in a category with some of you the way you talk about new members and talk about yourselves as though you're really good members when you're far from it as you're so unwelcoming and not at all friendly. Plus, it's a forum to discuss our opinions and have a 'laugh' apparantly, not a war or a competition so this whole 'old vs new' is ridiculous ... why not take it further and have 04 vs 05 vs 06 vs 07 vs 08 and see which year of members are best, and let's all face off?

Also, if you look in the BB9 section then you'd find 3 topics already on this, and a further one in the Chat & Games section, all created by "Old" members ... pot, kettle, black are words which spring to mind.

Many of the new members are really good additions to the forum.

However; I think some of them are just trolls. They've seen the new series of BB start and they're coming out of the woodwork.

A lot of the new members are better posters than the old posters because they don't get involved in the politics of the forum.

The biggest problem with the forum is that long term members take the place too seriously and new members do not take it seriously enough. Thats what i cans ee from where im sitting.

Not pointing fingers but their are three or four people who play politics and genuinly have no life outside this place.

I've seen the same thing. There are certain cliques formed and new members are seen as outsiders instead of members of the same forum and community.

Even to the point where if a new members makes a new thread (on a completely unique topic, not a dupe thread) - then few will reply.

Theirs like some stigma associated with having a low number and lack of a avatar & signature or something lol.

I think in fairness the mdos could go a little easier too. They seem to be modding in all the wrong places locking topics leaving others who THINK they are mods to adress the real problems

As silly as it sounds - I agree completely again. When I came back to the forum after an absence I had no avatar or signature and I found less people replying to me!

Like the majority of new member - the majority of old members are fine. You always get the bad minority though. (I think I said majority and minority too much in that sentence).

"Old vs new" is the way things are going right now...deal with it.

And yes...forums are to have a laugh...but we're CLEARLY not. This is because of the numerous threads being started on the same topics. Not just 1 or 2 or even 3...we're talking about 10 topics on the same thing. I'm seeing more "blah blah [merged]" these days than anything. If you can't see, or choose not too, then your clearly deluded.

We just need to wait a while,bb has just begun and there are a lot of new members who are obv new to tibb and the way it works.Things will settle down sure enough and i hope all the new members who are contributing positvley to the forum (because they are out there!) stick around and i personally welcome them into doing so.Although some new members can be annoying by making duplicate threads etc, some of the older members are just as annoying imo if not worse!Just remember that everyone was new once we should treat others how we want to be treated.Everyone is entitle to their opinion but i think we should all show each other respect no matter when we joined or how many posts we`ve made.I actually prefer some of the newer members to the older ones. Some of the older ones I find are really snobby and sarcastic.I remember when i first joined up half way through bb last year i felt like a little fish in a big pool lol and perhaps i annoyed some of the older members but i think i have settled into the forum nicely and hopefully the new members will stick around and as i said before contribute postively to the forum becuase without new members the forum would not go on,people are leaving ledt right and centre so of course, we need some newbies:spin:

hmmm tbh i dont take much notice of when people sign up so i wouldn`t really know but id say about a month ago i did notice a few new names kciking around. But most of the time i just look at the persons name and then read there post. However i was reading a post by Brother today ,who i thought was a relatively new member and only just noticed hes been here way longer than me lol. Then again there does seem to be quite a few people who seem to sign up make one or two posts and then never return.I guess thats just the nature of the website though. You could always use the ignore feature on people who are bugging you.
Oh and i hope you stick around beucase too many familiar faces or names if you like seem to be dissapearing and its really sad:bawling:all my friends are going:bawling:I enjoyed this forum most around november time last year, thats when it was at its best for me anyway:bigsmile:

I think it's really strange that a few similar threads ruin people's experience here :S If it annoys you, then try not to get so annoyed! lol. But I do see what you mean. I registered here at the end of 2006. Whether that means I'm an "old" member or not, I don't know. But I have noticed how many new members are unwelcomed and almost ignored. Of course, there will be the few that are up to no good, and can be very annoying, but we must remember that we were all new once. We wouldn't have liked to feel so unwelcome when we joined, so why should they? There should be no divide between "old" and "new" members. We are all ONE forum. We should all remember to treat each other the same, and to not let a person's post count or avatar/status affect our attitudes to different members.

I know it is kind of annoying i understand,i just try to avoid those kind of threads theres still alot more around that people are positvley contributing awards.I find the highlights thread thats running every night is always good but if i try to stay away from all the alex out, mario out etc and the fanclub threads.Dont let them bother you so much.Theres always the non bb elated threads that people are still posting in aswell.I think Magic made one the other day about childhood memories and things i thought that was a great thread.
