Weeks before Big Brother 5 even started, bookmakers were prepared to offer odds on what might happen in the house. One of the markets before the programme began was for a housemate to leave the show on their own accord. The odds on offer for such an occurrence were 6/4.
Anyone who took that price will now be preying for Ahmed to maintain the behaviour seen on Wednesday afternoon in the house. Just before midday, Ahmed grabbed a handful of plates, ran into the garden and proceeded to hurl them against the hut.
Although he is adamant that he will leave only when the public vote him out, this week’s planned “fake eviction”, in which Ahmed isn’t expected to be a part of might just be enough to push him over the edge and force an exit at anytime other than a late Friday evening.
As well as the 6/4 that was on offer for a housemate to leave on their own accord, one firm also offered what is now beginning to look a very generous 11/4 for a MALE housemate to walk. Unfortunately at the time of writing, all such markets are no longer available.
However, one way to potentially profit from Ahmed’s current predicament is to back “any other” housemate to win Big Brother. If the eldest member of the house did leave, it would most likely mean a replacement being brought in.
And as we have seen from other reality series in the past, it has been known for a latecomer to go on and be successful.
