View Full Version : Do we need Alex?

Last year the BB bosses did everything to keep Charley in the house, even a fake eviction. I feel that the producers had control of who was up this week:
1. they could say nothing about the secret couple and at a certain point announce that they passed
2. they could do what they did and announce there was a secret couple and get HMs to guess and they'd obviously fail.
Considering Alex is now the most hated HM in the house and would surely have gone if it was option 1 I think they went with option 2 so they could keep her there like they did with Charley last year.
However, last year although very annoying and hated Charley was actually quite funny at times and you loved to hate. And they actually did need her to make good telly because otherwise it'd just be Chiggy or Carole! But this year I think it's completely different, I just hate Alex, like really hate her, I can't stand watching her or listening to her voice or her stupid arguments where, of course, she's always in the right, or watching her stupid sidekick Sylvia follow her around.
This year the show has enough big characters to survive without someone like Alex and to me she makes the show much worse and difficult to watch, I think BB bosses should get her out ASAP!
Do we need her?

OMG, How they kept their cool and never went for her is unbelievable, im not a confrontational person but i would have swung for her if she'd spoken to me like that. She really needs to be brought down a peg or two.
no shes much to entertaining to lose.atleast not this early anyway

I just don't get why people are concerned with getting her out this early when there are still people in the house we haven't even heard talk yet.

I watch BB to be entertained, to be able to say to my friends 'hey did you see that last night?', without Alex in the house, the conversations would be so much shorter.
If she wasn't entertainment, then why are there 300 threads about her? She's the most talked about housemate, love her or hate her, you have to keep her in for the sake of BB this year.

Because some housemates are annoying and confrontational but great to watch, like Charley last year. But it is not an enjoyable experience watching Alex and her senseless arguments and threats; "Memba I told ya!" "You'll neva be ready!" All these things just annoy me and the way she is ALWAYS right and she will not listen to anyone else's POV; "You don't tell me, I tell you!" And she can't have a proper argument she just shouts and insults the other person until they give up... and if someone tries to defend that person she will do the same to them... it went from Bex to Rachel to Steph last night.. Steph was the only one that didn't step down and it stopped there.
And also she has this self-importance that SHE has given herself where she's always right and no one can challenge her... why are 15 people scared of just the one?
She does not make good tv... she just annoys and enrages me when we could be enjoying the other characters there.. there are plenty of them.

Entertaining yes, but i hate her attitude. What is the "'member i told you" slogan all about. shes just seen Charley did well being bitchy so alex is acting up on it. Juat a little too much. err! get her out. I think the editors are being too selective with there clips we didn't see some people in the fist couple of days.

See I think the exact opposite.
Watching her I just get so annoyed and angered so I don't enjoy the experience!
I think the house would be much better without her... we actually don't need her is my point!

That Alex is well hated everywere, she is so racist and a bully, I dont know how channel 4 are getting away with it.
If she spoke to me like that I wouldnt even give her the chance to finish her sentance!!
She sounds like a man anyway, nippy voice.

Nail on head.
Love her or hate she IS entertainment, without that arguement last night what would everyone be talking about? Lisa & Mario in the diary, everyone singing My Heart Go On? look at the bigger picture she has to stay for least another few weeks to keep things interesting. I admit she could have a bit more tact in her arguements, she could have at least waited a couple more weeks for laying into everyone but she's real and she gives us something to talk about!

I really don't see how she is entertainment! She makes me angry! I feel like going in there and tell her to SHUT THE PFFFF UP! I even got stressed watching her bullying Rebecka because of some lousy chips!
I hated Charley as well, but, at least, like someone already said, she made me laugh sometimes!
Alex thinks that, because she got pregnant at 15, she knows better then everyone else! I tell you, she knows absolutely nothing!

Thank you! That's the word I was looking for... watching BB with Alex there actually stresses me out!
She has SUCH a chip on her shoulder! Ok, she got pregnant at 16, how is that anyone else's fault?!

I've learnt to press mute when Alex speaks. If I keep having to press mute I'll end up not even watching so she'll have to go.

I was going to say the exact same thing, I don't see whats entertaining about her, its almost cringeworthy, i find myself either putting mute on or even turning over when shes on.
I would much rather see the housemates having a laugh amongst themselves, playing games etc then seeing Alex bullying the vulnerable housemates every night. The occasional argument is good but not every night.

Exactly, I much prefer Kat's fun group than Alex's miserable bitter group in the bathrooms.
And arguments are great when two people have a go at one another and have disagreements and tension, like Mario/Steph... but this is just one person picking on multiple people and it's not a fair argument since she just shouts them down and insults them until they stop... and she thinks she's winning the argument then when really she's just not worth it.

no we don't *****ing need her...I don't think any one "needs" her...
what we all do "need" however, is for her to ***** off as soon as possible...she is not entertaining...and she never was, nor ever will be, entertaining.
