A bit of both. She shows her insecurity in her actions. I still dont dislike her but I'm much colder towards her than before.

Insecure. She has an idea in her head of the person she'd like to be, but she thinks that if everyone else believes that she's that person that she will have become that person. Whereas in reality the only way that you can become the person you want to be is by becoming that person, not by simply trying to portray a persona to everyone else. It shows that she validates her existence by the views others have of her, not by how she percieves herself, therefore: insecure.

I don't think she's nasty, but she's very aggressive and I'd agree with insecure.

She has a very blurred vision of how conversations work, and instead of acting calmly and rationally, she shouts over everyone and exaggerates things. She needs to calm down fast or she'll be hated by the country.

I do think Alex puts on this big front where nothing anyone says can hurt her because she's always there to defend herself straight away. She has alot to say for herself and just doesn't listen to what anyone else has got to say...it's what she thinks and that's that.

Both. She is obviously nasty but i think theres probably an underlying reason for her anger, in flashes shes actually shown a sweet side to her. There's no denying how out of line she is but I do think she makes some very valid points in her arguments...she just puts them across in the wrong way

Shouting down other people, refusing to listen to other people's opinions, insulting people who disagree with you, refusing to DISCUSS differences but using verbal aggression to cow anyone who disagrees, never smiling or making a joke or doing anything nice for anyone else, failing to realise that in stressful situations where other smokers might nick a fag is annoying but not necessarily beyond understanding, acting in a way that you've criticised others for acting like, failing to to act JUST ONCE in a way that supports or helps someone else and not just you, being unwilling to realise that you (at 24????) might have anything else to learn about how to be a better human being, manipulating younger and more naive housemates and being an ugly, anti-social, unlikeable, viscious, ugly, stupid, ugly, non-representative cow tends to make me dislike her...

It's clear she's insecure in herself, she reacts badly to any inference of instability on her part.
However, in order for her to react in such a spiteful way means she has a nasty bone in her, although is this as a result of her insecurities? Hmm!
